Maxing out Elixer at TH8. Go to TH9 or max walls?

I'm sure that a lot of people ran into the same problem I'm facing. The only thing I still can possibly spend elixer on is Pekka lvl 3. I've saved 4.5 million, and should be able to get that going in the lab in a week or so. After that, I'm going to have absolutely nothing to spend it on.

As it stands, I have maxed every defensive building except for 2 Teslas, both of which, I should be able to get going in the next few days. I still have bombs and giant bombs to raise a level, but I'm not sure if the former are even worth it. I'll have my BK maxed, and every other troop except for Valkyries and the last level of Hogs. All of my walls are level 7.

My question is this: When should I move to TH9? Do I really need to grind 225 walls before moving on?

Should I really go through the painstaking grinding of 220+ lvl 8 walls while I have absolutely nothing to spend that elixer on?

Should I raise it up as soon as I get those Teslas going? I'll probably be able to get 10-20 walls up to lvl 8 while the Town Hall is upgrading.

Should I do something in between?

It seems like a huge waste to just sit on all that elixer. I could be wrong.

I went to th9 3months ago with lvl5BK, all lvl 7walls and th7 defenses. If you want to visit my profile to get an idea of how better it is to move to th9, clan is Exodus Prodigy and ign is QQ.

My advice is, go to th9. No need to stay there. The wasted elixir will be felt once you see how much upgrades need elixir as a th9. Plus, you can drop even more loot into walls. Save 40,000 de and come to th9

I agree it's a huge waste of elixir, go to TH9.

Farming at TH9 is still very good, and you get a Queen as well as lv 6 troops to make DE farming significantly easier.

id stick around and max, but its up to you....i'd at least wait til the update comes before deciding, but you'll be spending a lot of time upgrading heros and walls at th9 already without adding another 125 mil worth of walls on top of it.

Better to go to TH 9, since you're just letting your elixir sit there to get stolen.

That however isn't a bad idea, you never know something may change for TH8 before the update is complete.

If nothing changes for TH8 once the update is live, that would be the time to upgrade to TH9.

What th level are you??
its a clear waste of builder time, elixir, and efficiency of raiding.

Go TH9, not much point wasting 110m elixir is there? The huge TH9 offence/defense boost far outweighs the loot penalty. ;) About the only thing you can't do any more is hit TH7s (unless they're super loaded), and this isn't a problem if you're in G2/G1+

i'm th9, upgraded just before last update with max def/walls. i skipped a few troops, and it hasn't hurt me much but if i knew what was coming i would have stayed and got everything max. as it is i've already max'd most of my defenses at th9 , but it still irks me i have stuff that should have been upgraded at th8.
