Th9, need help 3 starring other th9s

What attack strategy will work for 3 starring mid to max th9s as a th9? I've been using GoWipe and can usually get 2 stars if they are mid, but there is not much left to upgrade in that army comp. I need to uprgrade golems, but I spend all my DE on the queen.

Is GoWiWi a better strategy for where i'm at? My witches are only level 1. Obviously my heroes need work, but I don't raid enough to have them constantly upgrading. I'm trying to improve my war attacks since my clan keeps getting matched with max th9s

its a little harder 3 starring other th9s in war as it is 3 starring th8s or th7s when your the same th level. The only time I woukd realky 3 star with gowipe is when the base was pretty open meanibg not alot of compartments . When theres alot of compartments gowipe isnt as a effective. I recentky started doing goho(golems and hogs) when going against bases with alot of compartments. You might want to try that. You pretty nuch substitute the pekkas and put in the hogs..

Feel free to come join my clan for some minutes and check my war attacks. I use HOGOWIWI (Hogs, Golem, Wizards, Witches) and I 3 star good th9s with it. Eitherway I can also help you if you have some questions about the strat. :)

Tell in the reason to join that you come for me, otherwise you might be rejected. Haha, I learnt this attack just by being able to look at other good war clans how they 3 starred th9s. and I don't regret doing it. Also , I don't know if you have level 5 hogs, but I think you have, haha.

Whether you Wipe or Wiwi or do a combination of both, Gowi* attackers are (mostly) two star specialists. I suggest moving towards hybrid strategies with components of hogs or loons to take care of the back end of your attacks if you are looking to 3* bases in CW.

You strategy is interesting, to say the least. I can get 3 stars easy if I attack my recommended target with this strategy.

~2 Golems (Spread them a bit)
~13 wizards (spread them as well)
~6 wall breakers (open gaps towards the center)
~2/3 of your pekkas
~I would have a pekka in your CC, place it now.
~6 wall breakers
~Queen
~Rage/heal combo
~king/last pekka
~Wait
~Rage/Heal combo
~Make sure to bring 9 archers just in case!

Your weak links are in bold and are what's holding you back from getting three stars. Upgrade them.

You should use some more wallbreakers and another golem with this strategy, also. Four pekkas and 20 wizards take up too much troop space.

Watch Thehulkfiles, Onehive, and Clashheads. GoWiPe isn't a 3 star strategy (for the most part. Back end loons can aid in 3 starring). Max hogs, loons, hounds, and witches. HoLo, LaLoon, GoHo, and so many other 3 star strats. I'm 3 starring mid to max TH9s with LaLoon and Quad Hounds at the moment. Level 10 queen.

He shows a bunch of 3 star war attacks.
You can also try "onehive raids", or the clashheads channel (forgot what it's called, just look up clashheads and ull find it)

Since heros are a reason you guys are saying i want to ask this here instead of making a thread. Should i upgrade them after th9 is maxed or while im maxing th9?

It's up to you whether you wanna do troops or heroes first. If you can do both then that's great. If the problem is not enough builders for heroes, then keep 1 or 2 open for them. Heroes take priority over defenses.

Even TH10 have hard time to 3* my base.

Yes, it can be done, but it's hard.

The only option to 3* a good Th9 is gowisth and lavaloonion.

I suggest lavaloonion with 4 lava.

I used this comp for my th9 that somehow consistently 3 star fellow th9s.
I even use this comp for my Th10 that consistently 2 star a mid to strong TH10.

At least Lvl 5 Heroes
6 lvl5 Wallbreakers
6 (lvl 1 is decent, higher the better)Valkeries
16 lvl 6 Giants
17 lvl5 Wizards
6 (higher the better) Minions (for clearing)

Lvl 6 Hogs on 30 housing CC (for 2nd phase of the attack)

Spells
2 Heals/1 Rage/1 Jump


Style:

This is more like a "dropping pattern" more than really analyzing the enemies individual base layout, this specifically needs speed of deployment of troops as well as speed in real-time decision when to release the CC hogs.

1.) Multi-drop the 16 giants in 1 to 2 sides of the base, depends on the upgrade level of the defense. 1 side=strong defense. 2 sides=weak defense.

2.) Quickly follow it up at the back of those giants, individually drop each wizards to clear outside structure.

3.) Release those wallbreakers in pairs,
- If one-side attack = Drop each pair in a certain tempo, watch out for the mortars tho. Then rage spell the 2nd wall to hasten/strengthen those 2nd-3rd pair of WBs.
- If two-sided attack = Drop a pair on the "main side", a pair in the corner & the other to 2nd side.

4.) Once you're done with the above, that's the time you can deploy the valkeries as well as the 2 heroes on the main side.

5.) You do not need to lure out their CC! That's why we have the jump spell+valkeries. Quickly deploy jump spell on the inner wall which is most likely still intact. You don't want your Giants/Valkeries get stuck on walls while their CC wizards melt 'em.

6.) At this moment, you need to watch out for the spells and heroes HP. You need to use that Rage mentioned above on the 2nd wall for your troops to easily smashed those defenses to quickly get inside as well dodging those CC wizards damage. (I keep mentioning the wizards specifically because it usually the main culprit on ruining this fast-paced attack). If heal is needed use it! But if not & you use this 1st heal spell right @ the core, you're doing good and everything went into plan.

7.) This is the 2nd most important part after all of the above, the CC Hogs. You'll deploy them on one side once you're done with dropping the 3 spells. Yes, the 2nd heal spells are for these hogs. This hogs serves as clearing troops. Watch out for their HP and maximize when to drop the heal spell, or you could just outright cast in on the defenses to make sure for those giant bombs nearby.

8) Minions = basically for clearing far defenseless structures or busy defenses.


After all these things has been said & done, you need to "trust" this comp, & whenever those times you somehow fail or 1-2 star... it's not about the comp, it's most likely you haven't mastered the above steps yet or the occasional "wiz-melt-your-troops-for-not-luring-out" predicament.

the above sounds well thought out except i was of the opinion hogs are currently maxed at lv 5.
