Have you ever lost interest in the game?

I have been playing clash of clans for a year now, I am a th9, mid-maxed. I used to clash a lot, I would boost my barracks every time I played and played in sessions, seemed the most efficient way to play for me. Recently, I have not been playing clash as much, it is becoming tedious. It does not bother me anymore if I have idle builders or an idle laboratory. I am also not as active in clan chat anymore. I am just wondering if any of you have experienced something similar and what you did about it? How can I find interest in the game again and get back on my grind?

My clan makes it fun to play, that's the only reason. I think without them, I would probably have lost the interest already . :(

Yes, copules of times.
When this happens to me I simply stop playing until I feel that I am intrested again.
I don't fully stop. You can say I become a lazy clasher. I play clash, collect resources, do few raids and try not to let my clan down in clan wars.

I'm recently coming back too (not sure if you remember me) But i have expierenced it and i think everyone should take a break for a little bit so they can focus on real life.

Yes, just after I went to th9 the build times became ridiculous, and I've found my self full of resources so many times, cause there were nothing to do except farming. I've made a new account now to keep me occupied while my builders working their a** of on main. CoC needs a huge change

Well I used to grind like nobody's business up to almost fully maxed th8... then Destiny came out and I basically just got into that for a solid 2 and half month, (replaced coc time by destiny time). So eventually Destiny's policy became obvious that the grind was gonna be the only thing that keeps you playing + new extension only 3 months in made my gear completely obsolete.....

I just quit that game and slowly went back to clash with flowers and a bottle of wine 'n a bunch of other manly stuff. But yeah I just got th9 like 3 weeks ago now, I see what you mean with the build times!! Almost caught up the new buildings to max th8 standards xD And basically I m just waiting for stuff to be done!

This is the way to go.

Dial back your participation for a while, or even quit for a couple of weeks (or months).

After a while, the frustration will fall away, but whatever first attracted you to the game will still be there, and you'll get sucked right back in.

The upgrades at th9 are rather expensive. I also have a second account, and it is much more fun playing on it than my main account, although I do want to progress in my main account more than anything.

Yes, I just quit for the second time and the only thing that might make me come back is a feature where I can raid without nexting so much, such as an interesting single player map. I have played for 18 months and have really loved the game - but the endgame is just boring. I miss the days of TH 8 and 9 and also found a more interesting game which is not such a grind.

A game should be fun, not work. NEXT NEXT ...

Nope

some people hate wall grinding ...but i love it..farming its really fun especially when you are constantly finding collectors bases and more

I lose interest everyday. Then I realize my builder is finishing tomorrow and I need 4 more million for my next upgrade.

Go to an event. My clash enthusiasm was dying in January because my clan was inactive.

its all about the clan

There's no fun in playing endless days of clash without anyone to talk to. Granted global can be funny and you may meet some nice people but finding a good clan makes it the best game. In your pocket you can have ur friends at any time and a good clan will love to chat at any time.

sometimes i play it quite a bit might do some defences, upg some walls then other times i either just come on to collect resources or dont bother at all. im virtually maxed th9 just need +1 on teslas and plenty of work on walls. if you have a plan for your village you might be quite active, once you hit the " dunno what to do wall" take a few days off, study your base and see how you wanna move forward again. might get another week or 2 out of yah 😃

Yep. Mainly I lose interest when it comes to walls. I have about 75 lvl8-9 walls and the rest are level 7. I'm TH 10 now and now I get comments about how I'm stupid cause I rushed, or how maybe I should have gemmed my walls instead (lol I dont gem). But other than walls, I did sort of quit when I was mid TH8. I started a new account and played that for a while, and I enjoyed being a n00b again. I moved back to my main eventually, but I constantly have trouble playing for more than a few hours a week.
