"Walls don't matter" Philosophy

Walls are psychological.

What I'd like to know is what the walls-don't-matter crowd plans to do once they've maxxed their defenses at TH10.

Will they finally start working on their walls, or simply rage-quit "BECUZ SOOPERSELL IZNT RELEEASING MOAR BILDINGS AND TREWPS!!!!11!!"

As a ten who in fact went to ten with level 8s I can say as I upgrade more and more walls to lava I do see a marked increase in defenses won.....and I can count on 1 hand the number of times I've been looned in the last six months so I think those that get hit with them a lot have more of a design issue than anything else. Basically my feeling from my own experience is if you are already a 10 with less than lava just continue of defenses while dumping excess......but if you're a 9, why not do lavas? They are so insanely easy to do at th9...I'm about 3 raids from doing 159 & 160 at the moment.....with no fear of logging off.

This is so unlikely. Lets say you raid 3 minutes and log off. Thats 10 raids in 30 minutes. You would need to be super lucky and find 600,000 gold raids everytime you come in to make 6mil gold a day playing so casually.

If nothing else, they look way better. Have you seen a TH9/10 with full lego+, the base looks sooooooo much better and more intimidating then if you saw pink/purple walls. Walls do stop a lot of normal raids, where people aren't coming at you with hounds, hogs, dragons etc.. It has deterred my raiding of many villages.

When you see high level walls, you also assume that they have max level teslas etc.. If you see a village with low level walls, they look like an easy mark.

I'm a completionist, and for me that means efficiency. If I upgrade to TH10, I'm going to lose at least 10% loot unless I only ever attack other TH10s. That raises the effective price of walls a hell of a lot. Infernos are tempting but not worth it to me. My TH is always outside and the times I get raped is so rare that I really don't need them. It's not like I usually have any loot worth stealing anyway, because I'm constantly dumping it into walls and heroes.

When I do finally upgrade to TH10, I'll have lavas AND infernos. Come at me, ♥♥♥♥♥es

walls do matter @1

No idea. Doing walls is rewarding. I love logging on to clash and looking at my beautiful level 8 walls. (I'm th8)

Walls, to me, are like "stand in front of Orgrimmar Auction House for noobs to gawk at your elite gear and/or mount".
