"Walls don't matter" Philosophy

Not going to be a huge thread, but I felt I needed to start this discussion regardless of how much I want to type....Anyways why is it that everybody these days preaches the maxing bible until it comes to walls? And not only that why do they claim "walls don't matter"? Sure hogs and loons etc do not matter when it comes to walls, but in wars these days with everybody falling into the GoWiPe rut, walls ARE the deciding factor in raids!! So please give your thoughts as to why people quit doing walls at level 7 and 8 because I personally don't understand it.

Because they cost so much, not everyone has time to punch out walls after lv 7 or 8.

Lazy? Bored? Get a better defense quicker? Better army? Dunno.

walls aren't cool anymore

I actually prefer doing walls over defences first. I'm level 96 with full legos and about 50 lavas and still doing lavas. Although I started maxing my defences now. Only have 3 AT, AD and teslas left.

It's mostly a time tolerance factor.

I i like em as a sign of farming strength, how much of a difference they make in defences compared to a level or 2 down is fairly small.

But they do add up over time.

What are you talking about? It never was a "cool" factor, it is a philosophy of use factor. Level 7 and below walls are useless in high level gameplay.

Plain and simple, I have better things to spend my money on. Level 9 plus walls are freakin expensive and time consuming!!!!!

I know I'm not the majority, but for me its the opposite. :) I'm a TH9 thats going to finish lavas very soon, and I've only maxed half my defenses. I've had 4 builders working on them 24/7, I've just been farming so excessively!! I'm now starting to contemplate whether it will benefit me to go to th10 before getting those other defenses up or not, just so I can farm zaps! :cool:

Maxed walls is my pride as a clasher :)
