I love this base. I hit TH9 this past Friday, and I've been looking through the forums for a good design while I settle into the new town hall. As a fan of your Cogwheel base, I'm glad to see you coming out with more base designs. Without sucking up to you too much, I'm glad that someone who plays this game actually uses their brain to innovate rather than follow the current trend. Keep it up, you're one of the only people bringing well-thought out strategy to the forums anymore.

I am currently running your modified cogwheel design. I am almost done with my lavas, so I don't really feel like building this base just yet. In a few days, when my lavas are done, I will use this set up. As defense logs come in I will try to post them up.

Will allow attackers to easily break layer hiding Mortar (at south) for instance and Jump Spell inside core with Giants. The biggest problem however is that it would also allow Giants to target the core, and that's not a good idea. Instead, the current design would have Giants circulating around the ring of Teslas, rather than attacking the core. Also, another problem to that design would be the movement of the AQ and other troops, they will not be given enough space to run around the ring, rather than targeting the core. The ample number of buildings inside would otherwise increase the probability of her wanting to penetrate inside the core. And another important aspect of the current design is the distance covered by the 7 tile range Teslas. Placing Teslas behind a layer of wall behind Storage will inhibit it from targeting such troops like Archers targeting the Storages with their range.Quote:
