I put teslas and skeleton traps around the TH when I'm low on loot. I don't do it expecting to win defenses, only for heh's to be had.
I drop two archers. If it's trapped...I'll study the base a few seconds to figure the best looking route regardless of win/lose. Then I unleash my troops to steal the max loot, blow the most bombs, trigger the CC until 38-39%...then I surrender and leave. They lose farm more loot and incur far more cost... And I hope know why I ended before the shield was triggered.
A few months ago there was a poster complaining about being zapped all the time, saying its despicable, unfair, etc etc. He was offered the usual advice and even shared a pic of his base to indicate he had his TH outside in a corner to minimize zaps.
Turns out he had it surrounded by 4 teslas and all his traps. Gee, I wonder why he got zapped all the time without getting shields???
As my leader says:
" if the th is trapped by teslas, I flat out the base and leave only the TH, just to prove a point!"
if I'm against a close to max th10, I can't flat out ofc, but other than that, if I can, I'll take you for everything!
It's part of the game and I don't mind, but you also shouldn't mind if people stop sniping you and start 99%ing.

Anybody traps their town hall and I make sure to punish them as much as possible. It's really stupid, and makes their actual base considerably weaker. Plus, giant bombs around your town hall? Seriously? You want to be popping thousands of gold on giant bombs every time somebody wanders by? Just dumb.
