Decor... Read before merging..

Ok im sorry but this question has just been pushed into the void and its a serious one even though not many care about it. Decor served a purpose. Example: one of my war bases

what i want to know is does this now mean CC auto locates to the next available open space? Or that it will spawn directly on my Decor? This is something that ive been utilizing for a long time now, and gave these "useless" wastes of space some sort of meaning in the game. I can understand obstacles, however decor is expensive... Some even costing gems. Why is it that these available for purchase items are to have absolutely no use beyond looking pretty?

This was a strategy, in a strategy game.

Obviously they thought looking pretty and strategy should not be on the same page :D

You can still use them to move troops together, like clumping archers for mortar or hogs for gb.

If theyre spawning on the decor i dont think theyll clump as well as before, but I really liked distancing enemy CC. This would cause certain troops to go rogue on occassions. not super important in the base design, however it had a purpose, and every so often would give me that little tiny edge when i needed it.

Think they will just spawn on the decor. Not the biggest fan of this.

Intuitively I thought that decorations were simply... decorations:rolleyes:
I think it would just spawn on top of them

Hmm. I don't understand though, what difference would it make if cc troops spawned on decorations, or the blank space next to it?

The majority of the clashers wont care, or will have never noticed the difference. But it was a part of the game, a subtle little boost against your enemy. To any that actually have been able to use this to their advantage i feel more than earned it. Anyone can call it a decoration, but only few were able to see it as another strategy of the game.

It has been the difference if a 1 or 2 star on a few occassions. Not the biggest of deal, but my bases are set with this in mind.

That's true but I don't think it was particularly good. Sure you may have made an insignificant improvement on your base, but to attackers it is an unnecessary annoyance not being able to deploy on obstacles, especially since you can drop troops on them. That means that sometimes you would think that you have dropped the cc as you subconsciously think that you can deploy on obstacles just like troops, and then realise that you haven't when its too late. I would agree with you if it was the same for normal troops, but then you would realise it is a major annoyance knocking back deployment range further. Sometimes when trying to deploy cc I have to click several times trying to get it in between obstacles.

Overall its quite annoying and they have deemed that there is no reason for it, just as there is no reason not to be able to deploy troops on them, and I fully support the change.

Im annoyed with walls, lets get rid if them! Skeleton traps too!! I just dont see how causing panicked thinking with your enemy is a bad thing? If it did get to you and you messed up your cc deployment because of it, then you merely justified its current exsistence. It is a strategy game afterall, and its a hard strategy to pull off as the calm and collected attacker will always ignore my decorations.
