How important is the 6million lix & gold and 80,000 de startup as a new TH9? a MUST?

I moved to TH9 last Tuesday, and I went in with full Gold/Elix/DE + full war CC + half filled mines/collectors. In the end, after getting all the new walls to a respectable level, starting the new xbows + upgrading spell factory & lab, and doing Queen to lvl 2 instantly, I was left with some elixir and some DE ( which I would drain out in 12hrs to make queen go to lvl 3). So pretty much, yes. Its very good to go in with full storages. I even went in with all decorations bought to help out even more. :p

Like hotshot I had enough for both xbows, lab, factory and AQ. Really helped and I would recommend this to anybody. As people have mentioned, try and have something in the clan castle.

How'd you farm the resources? Did you finish valk ang golem in lab before upgrading?

max the de, and keep farming and level 5 AQ is yours in VERY short time. with the ability even though a small edge, she can bring you in more DE than you ever imagined before. people relying on drills are not wrong, it works for casual/uninformed players. assuming the drills will do the work is like assuming elixer ad gold storages are better than farming. hotshot was right the whole time.

Takes ten days to upgrade to th9 as well, that's a lot of time to farm.

Its not really a must, but it sure does help quite a lot! You can get your xbows and the archer queen you have been waiting for ever since as soon as that TH upgrade is done

It isn't necessary at all, not even the 40k DE everyone keeps brining up (a level 1 AQ isn't much help anyway). Loot is a little easier to get at TH8 than TH9 so it is nice to start with some resources to spend, but you will be perfectly fine if you are completely broke when you start TH9.

its what i plan on doing once i hit there. need the de for buying and upgrading aq to 5 right away, and the 8 mil for new walls, defenses and xbows. way more convenient having that as it is easier to loot as a th 8.

It definetly helps, i got instan AQ to level 2, cc upgrade lab and 1 or 2 camps done

Very important, I ran into TH9 with 6m/6m/65k. You really only need 62500 for the queen, but the gold is needed for the x-bows and the elixir for lab stuff. Plus, 6m elixir isn't really hard to achieve at TH8 anyway.
