Nope haha, created it because people was wondering if there is a TH7 version of it.
But the mechanism are pretty similar with the battleship, so I would say it would work decently as well :)

Video wise, I only have for th8 >.< th7 wise, many others are using them, but I'm not sure whether they took vids of them. You can see detective is using a th7 variation of it as well, maybe you can ask him ? :)
But I'm pretty sure its working well, which is why he is using it haha, and getting such high rating from ping :)

Hybrid wise, I've attempted it before, but its really pointless.. :eek:

Currently, I am upgrading to TH8. I read earlier in this post that you recommend the Pokeball design without funnel and Pokeball design without funnel and low level air defense. I am curious, however, what you recommend upgrading first when I hit town hall 8. Should I make all of my new walls first, get them to level 6, and set up a variation of your Pokeball? Or should I keep my current TH7 base for a bit until I can get all of the new defenses built and decently upgraded.

P.S. And when should I build my new storages etc?

P.S.S. What are your thoughts about this base?

Hello Joe, yes, I would recommend the pokeball base without funneling at the start of TH8.
Reason being that at the start, you will be having quite a few splash towers upgrading, hence increasing the importance of loot separation, and allowing the layout to "do the job", more than your defense, hence the pokeball.
I've use it myself and defend well without 2 mortars.. or even 3 wiz. Of course its a risk by upgrading multiple splash, but it wasnt as pain as I thought with the pokeball base.

Definitely new walls to Lv6 first.
And yes, pick a variation of the none-funnel design that suits you.
But if you are "lazy" to pick a variation base on your current needs, then go with either 1E or 1G.

Its really up to you, personally I can't wait to change out of my th7 base and try something new with the extra lv50 walls.

Storage wise, no hurry for elixir.
But if you farm alot like myself, 3rd gold storage is a must.

Not bad, that base seems to have improved quite abit since the last time I saw it.
Looks pretty decent, but the main thing I didn't like the is the DE bias with top gold. I farm alot of de, and upgrade minions and BK, so thats definitely a no-no for me.

Hm.. you see the walls inbetween the DE and the CC ?
The reason why I push in the de, xbow 1, xbow2, mortar 1, is because of the position of the 4 wizard towers.
Pretty much thats the main area i'm expecting troops to cluster up, and with 2 lv7 wiz there, thats one of the death zone, and shouldn't be opening up and exposing the important stuff like DE and xbow.

And those improper t junction at the exterior is.. asking for wall breakers to break them.

The Heroes wise.. its up to you, but personally for me, its either at the core, or at the outside, not inbetween.
Those hero position can be use for AD, which are quite exposed in your case.

Again, my TH9 pokeball is untested, so who knows, your base might be working well afterall.

What I have noticed is, with all your bases, you used outer buildings as spawn denial. I'm also a watcher of Flammy's vids, and he said not to do so, and keep the buildings close to the walls. So which one is the better one?

Also if you have the time, can you review my base? I believe all my walls are staggered, and going for all purple walls soon.
I do not care about losing DE ATM, but if you have an idea as to how to protect DE it would be appreciated.

I dislike that exposed core if you ask me.. once they break in from either top left or bottom right, your 2 mortars are pretty much exposed. And as a th8, mortars are one of your prime assets.

Air Def's triangle isn't equilateral, but not that big an issue.
Main thing is the bottom compartment, seems like some walls are wasted there, and there is improper t junction as well.

Overall not a big fan of the changes you have made.

But if it works for you, then by all means, continue using it.

Yes, thats my style for farming base, buildings use to push deployment area to the edges.
But for hybrid/trophy base, I will push them in.

Its really up to individual preference.
As an attacker, I really dislike fighting bases with spawn areas at the edges, as it severely reduce accuracy of my troops deployment. I can't focus and pinpoint troops to go to certain areas.

Again, there are pros of pushing buildings in, to tank/distract while your defense take them down.
But frankly, how many troops do you think your defense can kill ?

But its up to individual preference, and I don't want to force it upon others.

So follow whoever you believe in I guess.

The loot seperation is decent.

1) Most people will raid from bottom/btm left anyway, as gold, in most cases, is more valuable than elixir.
So you shouldn't put Elixir to be on the same value as gold and separate them at such.

2) Air Def's position not well spread, lacks coverage for btm right

3) Decent funneling, but I would switch position of giant bombs and tesla.
Another point for farming is, don't over-rely on giant bombs, they will easily cost you tons of gold per match.
Meaning even if you "Win" the match and didn't lose any gold storage, setting off 2 giant bombs = 100k gold loss already.

4) No comments regarding your unprotected DE, but having a high level hero really helps in different situation.
Anyway, I think you are using your DE, to bait for a free shield.

So yeah, keep up the good work regarding walls, try to get as many black walls as possible during TH8.
