I changed the base as soon as I heard people were getting banned over it... But there is nothing I can do about a name... Seems silly to ban over it when it isn't something you can self police... Just change it and avoid having to deal with annoying customers like me...

I doubt even if they read your email they will change their mind, and you most likely will be stuck with that new name too... They are not going to be sympathetic to something like this or at least they haven't been before.

My name was Lord♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ , I myself did not get banned , but I did get my name changed to Clasher. Which in itself is bull♥♥♥♥ because you can't fix the xbow glitch that your update messed up and has counted towards lots of losses to Looners.
The funny thing though is the fact that my name could be typed on global and not be starred out. My name offended no one. And if SC is worried about kids being offended then their priorities are not straight.
Finally - change the names of players and ban them but dear lord let the modders keep on modding 👍
Why not do both? One is an easy to police and enact name changes/bans that doesn't require developer time. The other is much more difficult and doesn't require CSR time.

Again, you have zero proof that they do nothing against modders. Finding and punishing someone with an inappropriate IGN is much easier than weeding out modders. Doesn't mean they aren't doing anything about it.
I've seen people's ign unjustifiably altered. I've seen people banned for fairly weak reasoning. You're the first I've seen that has had both happen. This company is just getting too much money too quickly to care I think.
