Battle
Im not sure if anyone has posted something like this, but it would be a battle. There would be a button next to the messages and trophie button that would be about battles. Basicly, put 10 (or more or less) gems, and you enter your village into a battle. Then someone else that matches your trophies, town hall level and village level, would hit the battle button. They would see all the villages they could battle that they match up with, and they see your village. They click on yours, pay 10 gems, and battle. If they get all 3 stars on you village, they get 20 gems, and you lose your 10. If they get less than 3 stars, you get 20 gems and the other person loses 10 gems. It's basicly a staked battle, and this would make supercell money because some people would lose all their gems and want to buy some. Constructive cridicism wanted!

Also: maybe it could be something like if you stake your village with 50 gems, it would cost 50 gems to attack you. Winner would get 100 gems

Creative, but not good
First of all, what if you don't have 10 gems to pay? Secondly, it is probably going to be nearly impossible to "battle" the exact same trophy level and village level as you. There are probably about 300K combos. It was creative but put more thought next time.

If you dont have ten gems, but some. This is to earn supercell money, and it doesn't have to be EXACT village stats. Just common village stats so that you don't get attacked by jorge yao at level 20 or something 😁

Simply, No.
First, this would implement a function that can only be accessed through spending real money, making this more of a freemium platform. I believe SC's intention for this game is to have every item/function accessible to every player without the need to spend real money.
Second, if I wished to gamble online, I will join a site specifically design to do so.
Continue with your ideas though, it would be nice to have something like this implemented without the need to empty my wallet.
Edit: one more question. How would the system determine balance between two players. If I have a fully upgraded TH7 defensively, but neglected to upgrade my troops beyond level one, how would your potential opponents be determined in this single scenario?

I guess in that case, you would lose

Maybe it's possible for the dev team to take every base advancement into consideration when determining opponents, but with my example above, level should be left out of the process.

I thought it could be more of a list of opponents rather than just one match
