Next Update?

Well, looking at the instagram picture I had these thoughts when I first saw it:

• New trees. There are some trees that looks like weeping willows, but I guess it is not. Maybe something else?
• Horse. Looking at the fence with what looks like hay on the left side of the tablet that was my immediate thought, but then I thought no! We already have horses. Anyway now there is a hint about a white horse connected with the neighbourhood teamwork....
• The other side of the river. Something over there... a way to pass to this area? An entrance to a new area? (the white part on the riverside) or something in the water?

Speculations and guesses....:D

I hope the neighbourhood task(s)/teamwork (whatever it is?) is not competitive. Hay Day is a relaxing game and that is just the way we (a lot of us) like it.

I also hope it won't require you to be in a big neighborhood. I like my small one. Only two of us active daily at the moment actually.. I don't mind if the big ones have an advantage of some kind but I just hope we can participate in whatever it is. Also hoping it's not competitive and not something that would pressure people to play more. I mean if it's like a boat the whole neighborhood helps to fill or something similar, it might make you feel like your letting people down by not playing for a few days. Or if your not willing to give up all your cheese or something.. lol..

It's similar to something in another game? I don't play any other farming games, so I honestly don't know. Interesting.

I hope they don't outright copy any features from other farming games. Supercell's too good for shenanigans like that.

Thank you Haydayphile for this post! For the better part of the day I'd been grappling with my better judgement over whether to post what is likely to be unpopular observation on what I see as a paradoxical standard regarding speculation on the forums.

In the recent past, specifically the aftermath of the great holiday event failures & the gramophone debacle, player speculation as to the underlying causes were chidingly deemed 'conspiracy theories' by Nick, yet the same cryptic lack of immediate & full disclosure which generated those same 'CTs' is used when needful as a prompt to whip the player base into a frenzy over a long ballyhooed update. In my humble estimation, I call that a double standard.

In the multiple threads on the topic in different forum sections, I've seen speculation of pirate islands, unicorns, a Pony Express, mega NHs, & a way to reorient farms to name a few of the most imaginative, none of which is likely to be part nor parcel of what will be eventually dropped in our laps. Whatever the update contains, just get on with it & stop with the teasers about teasers about sneak peeks or whatever this foot dragging strategy is. I shouldn't think SC would like to see any unfounded theories develop.:unsure:

I think the pirate island is likely. Since Nick said so.

I would guess it will be in the town, not the farm, though. The pirate theme would fit with the treasure chests and the ocean (as opposed to the river at the farm).

I'm guessing it will be kind of like the mine at the farm?
