If you have 47 people in the clan it is better for the leader to opt out two people than just let it be two people on the bottom. In the end it should be the leader's decision, as it always has been for everything. It will only be bad for the clan to force someone in a war when they don't want to be there as they would just not get involved or leave, and everyone else can see whether these people wanted to be in the war too. So I don't know why some people make it sound like they are 'forced' to be in the war when they are not.
Can we know the exact date of these updates release.
It would be great.
Its not forcing you to war. Its just simple clan war management,. I don't know why people are struggling with this opt in/out concept so much.
Right now clans are being forced to use external means to manage their members for the next war. Our clan uses a private forum thread. So people who *need* to opt out for any reason at all state this on the thread, and the war admins have to monitor this at the time we start the war, kick, reinvite, do it all again if war search restarted etc. Its a giant PITA we are sick to death of having to manage, let alone remember was x out for just one war or more, when was he due back etc...
*Now* instead of being on a forum thread users can indicate in game if they want to be in the war or not. No need for external apps or websites or clan chat, clan mails etc - just flip a switch and your intentions are visible. Blooming marvellous.
When it comes time to declare the war, yes you *might* be in a situation where you have a number opting out meaning your numbers don't match up. This is *absolutely no different* to the situation you have today, stop trying to make it sound like Opt Out is creating a new problem.
As per Chief Pat's vid the leaders get the final say on who is in/out of the war. And if they decide they need to opt someone in so that four others to not miss out on a war, they will do so. Just like they would today by not kicking someone who asked to be out of the next war.
What does this mean for that one person? Well they opted out. Any good leader and clanmates worth their salt understand that it was the *leaders* decision to put you in the war, under the expectation that as you opted out you are not going to be able to attack but four others can. If your clan is even remotely sensible they understand that those attacks will in all likelihood not be made. Your opt out preference is visible to everyone, you should be under no obligation to do those attacks and if you do happen to do some its a bonus for the clan...

LOGIC! Unfortunately the masses lack it.
