I'm a th8 and I'm close to maxing defenses. I haven't spent too much time on walls at all, and have only 1 skull wall; the rest are purple. I will not spend money on clash, but I'm tempted occasionally. How many walls do you suggest I get to lvl 8 before I upgrade to th9? I'm not doing all 225 because that would take way too long, I (surprisingly) still have a life.
th8 farming is super ez. th9 isnt bad but th8 is better
as long as ur defence is maxed, and all ur walls are purple go to th 9. you can stay purple walls forever without any problem really. and guess what, its a game. play how u wanna play it and just enjoy it. im personally keeping a builder free to get full skull walls, coz they look so good. and farming them is fun, for me at least. am serious tho, th 9 and 10 dont have problems with purple walls. and in the end they will be useless against lava loonion, which is a popular choice for war attacks in th 9 and 10. and probs the best.

max them all th9 farming is hard, and th10 farming is impossible, so its now or never or gems
I would at least upgrade some key wall junctions. Places where you can hang up some Giants and kill them dead.
if you think you're slouching behind, you don't NEED to do them at TH8
you can do it at TH9
but if you're one of the guys that wants to max, before moving on, stay patient ( I maxed them before I went to TH9)

I only had like 10 skulls before I went to TH9 and I was fine. Purple walls slow down most farming armies enough to prevent any real damage, assuming your defenses are properly leveled. I slowly finished skulls while upgrading the rest of my base and I'm glad I didn't wait at TH8 to finish them. TH9 opens up so many more attacks and the queen, IMO it's much more fun
Now as a maxed TH8 u can only focus on walls and farm them, it's not so hard, just use BAM, it's insane fast even without boost. If u can boost, u can make 4-6 mil. in 2h. Anyway I'am happy I did them and when i go to TH9 i won't have to worry about some TH8 upgrade.
I would max all walls at TH8 and then never touch walls again... until you have no need for Elixir.
Max them mate... It won't take that long, and I'm sure youve got some research to do and a barb king to level up a bit so it won't be too boring!
I maxed mine out at TH8 because of all the hype about loot being harder at TH9. From my experience here at TH9, it's total bull. Loot is everywhere. That being said, I'm still glad I maxed them out first. It's your choice man.... I vote on maxing them.

It depends what direction you tend to want to go with coc, as coc currently stands you need to have vertually all level 9 walls and maxed defences to be in an "all" th10 war and not be a burden on your clan. Rushing to higher TH and thinking that wall upgrades can wait in my opinion only makes it a longer slower process. Higher players see those purple or skull walls and its a signal to attack, therefore your constantly defending any loot and the process of gathering any losses just extends the drawn out upgrading.
premmie th9's or th10's as there refered to just make it so much harder. Max your walls now and you've made it easier later.
I'm a th 7 with all dark purple, and I love farming for walls. Can't wait for skulls!
There is way more loot at th8 if you can finish skulls at th8 but they can be done at th9 if need be but I'd recommend doing them at th8
TH9 farming is hard? since when? I sit on full storage's at least 1-2 times a week. Personally myself i think it's too good. i'm getting 300-400k off of TH8's, just imagine what i'm getting off of them TH10 ;):rolleyes:Quote:

TH8 1 level wall to upgrade (skull wall), TH9 2 level wall to upgrade (Lego wall & Lava wall) plus 25 wall added and also Remember there is loot penalty.
