I'm a "basically maxed" TH8 trying to get to Masters and I've hit a relative standstill in trophies. Balloonion isn't too effective with the current comp I'm using due to the four air defenses at th9. And before you post "JuZT SNIPEE!!1", go to crystal 1. There are no open town halls to snipe. Also, 4th mortar = barch sucks.
Any tips or army comps that I should use?
You can mass drags up to Champs. That's how those TH 7's got there. :rolleyes:

gowipe, or gowiwi if you can get some maxed witches off of your clanmates
giwipe/wi can work too if you don't want to use too much DE
but yeah I feel ya man, both times I tried pushing to masters I hit a wall at C1 - too many TH9's
If you are low on loot, then gibarch. If you have good loots, drags or gowipe. Gowipe for sleep, drag for boost.Quote:

Are your minions maxed for TH8? What about your Hogs?
It is possible to BAM bases that have many buildings outside the walls for the 50%..
Otherwise, maybe practice Hog raids if your hogs are level 4.
I'm in C2 but I'm as high as I've ever been so far so I'm becoming aware of your predicament..

Boost spell factory and 2 barracks
One rax giants, one rax wiz (boosted), the other two barch.
Only attack bases you can get 2 stars on.
That's what I did, and it worked well for me.
To each their own, tho.
All of my troops are maxed for TH8 except valkyries. Is BAM effective for TH9's? I feel like every time I try to use weaker armies I get destroyed by archers surrounding their mines, collectors, etc.Quote:

p.s I would not recommend BAM (too weak), nor B-Arch (still too weak), and definitely not hogs (too expensive and risky vs TH9).
