I think the ability to put multiple builders on one building to cut down on the upgrade time would be extremely beneficial. It would cut down on extremely long wait times for upgrades, and also still create revenue for supercell, the more builders you have, the quicker your upgrade time will be. E.g. Let's say a town hall would take 6 days, put 3 builders on it, it takes 3 days? thoughts?
If I'm not mistaken this idea is ruled out. However; the idea to gem boost builders is not ruled out.Quote:

My thoughts are why are so many people now are asking the same thing about having more than one Builder on one upgrade all of a sudden these last weeks. What changed that caused these people to all independently think that now is a good time to come here and ask about an idea that is, to us, tired and old and asked so often before, it is to be deleted on sight by mods?
Not saying it is a stupid question, but it is a very very common request.
This is why that "READ BEFORE POSTING" (link) sticky thread is there on the main page, so people don't repeat such things that Supercell has ruled out. Obviously the nature of the human mind to focus on only on what it wants to focus on has been highly underestimated :p given how many ruled out threads are made a day by newbies.

This thread has been reported to mods for deletion. I don't believe this will cause any negative marks on your account, let alone a ban, since this is such a common mistake, threads are just removed silently and that's usually it. Mods here are usually quiet, but kind and understanding here, so there's nothing to worry about with the reporting of your thread. Just be sure to reference the long list of ruled out ideas before posting :) And good luck.
If it is ruled out that's unfortunate, I could see it being a great benefit. I myself would buy additional gems in order to get more builders just for this reason.
Check out the link I gave. 4x speed for Builder boost is being considered, and in that thread I gave my best guess as to what numbers will be used. Yes, 4x! Like four Builders on one project, but without actually putting extra Builders on one building! Doubling and tripling up just means less time on other buildings. Besides, the current M.O. of Supercell is to have players pay extra, with gems, on things players want sped up. putting more than one Builder on an upgrade would go against that idea, since it would cost no gems to do if implemented.Quote:

Theoretically SC could simply charge gems to allow folks to double or triple up on buildings. However, I'm thinking that it's more of an interface issue and yeah it does seem silly to work it that way as opposed to simply charging gems to accelerate the speed of the current builder.Quote:

Of course they could do something like offer a 4x speed boost for 24 hours. However, if you base the cost of this on the amount of gems it takes to rush an equivalent amount of time (in this case 3 extra days = 506 gems), the boost starts to look pretty unattractive. Normally people who suggest this seem to think 20 gems or something would be reasonable. Well based on current gem prices for rushing buildings, it is not. It'd likely be a few hundred gems at least.
Other issues to consider are as of now there is no way to tie a specific builder to a specific building. How would I boost a builder? Click on his hut? Click on the structure being upgraded? What if I boost a builder and he and another builder become available at the same time? Most likely I will want to choose where the boosted builder starts his next job. Well how do I choose which builder works on which project? As of right now you can't.
Realistically boosting builders simply doesn't make sense.
You can already rush buildings and you can even choose how many gems you spend by simply waiting until the rush cost is within your budget. Furthermore the interface for doing so is obvious and intuitive.
