Dark Farming with Balloonion: Advice on trophy range

I am a TH9 trying to find 15K dark/day for my hero upgrades without boosting. I have maxed troops and spells for TH9. I usually take 24 loons, 30 minions, 2 heal spells and some barch for snipes of to kill CC. It takes an hour to train, which means I either have to keep breaking shield (if I leave TH out) or keep TH in and perhaps gain some trophies on defense.

I am currently in Crystal II nexting about 50 times until I see raids for 1500+ DE that I think I can actually get. Once in a while I see a raid for 2500+ but its rare.

My issue is that it seems when I go high enough in trophies to see bases with a lot of DE, the bases are TH10s with the DE storage deep between 2 infernos. I have a hard time getting the DE. And when I do I frequently loose trophies making it hard to stay up here.

All the videos (Clash With Matty, Daddy) I see are people looning dead bases, full DE drills, etc. But I don't see any of those up here.

So I am looking for some tips:
1. Am I at the wrong trophy range? I have spent a lot of time braching in gold I and I know you hardly see 2500 DE raids. Should I go higher? or will the bases just get harder.

2. Is my army comp weak? I can add 4 loons; or use rage spells but that increases cost of army and more importantly train time.

3. How to attack infernos and still get at least a star and the DE? It's hard to maintain trophies.

Using some form of Gibarch in Gold 1 is actually where its at. I think its better to get 800 easy to find DE with faster training times than using armies that take forever to train and are expensive and having to search a lot. But if you insist on using loonion I would push up towards masters. When I was around that range I actually found some people who would leave their DE on the edge or outside of their base in hopes people would take it and lose.

In addition, you're getting 500 a win at master 3.

Thanks for the Gibarvh suggestion but lets stick to loonion. Any other thoughts?

Try 20 loons, 60 minions, start with all rage and try to average one per raid, add heals as they are used, and raid in sessions as much as you can. That's a 40 minute army at worst. Aim for 50% wins, don't try and be a 2-star hero.

Keep your TH out, and try and head for M3 - more cups = more DE (on average), including more maxed de drills (plenty in masters have plenty in the drills, mines n pumps - it's not until you get near champs that TH10 are raided as soon as they log off).

There are actually loads of TH9 around M3 these days, plenty of which are often poor in everything except DE, so you don't have to raid just TH10, there are loads of options.

16 loons, minions n 1 healing spell... 32 mins training time max. If looning is hard for you in crystal league, gold 1-2 have some weak th9-10 n they r loaded. You only need to next more to see them.

With practice, you don't need cc nor heroes to farm.. 16 loons is more than enough.

you should avoid multi.-target infernoes, single target is ok.

16 loons seems like so little. I cant imagine getting to the core with that (and yes everyone has their DE in the core at my trophy level -- either guarded by ITs or max ADs).

How would that work? I guess you attack TH9s and let the minions overwhelms teh ADs? Spells?

you have plenty of time to look for a base while your next batch of balloons, spells, and minions are being trained.

Maybe that would work at 2000 trophies, but I am not seeing any here in crystal 2.
Plus 34 loons and 4 spells is such a long training time I don't think that will work.

It seems so little but minions overwhelms everything as long as they dont get hit by air bombs or WT... only need 1 healing spell, don't need cc troops or heroes and you can 1-2 stars in crystals league up to master3. I did that with my rushed TH9 and farm there daily. With my rushed TH10 i was able to farm/push to master 1 with the same combo.

- xbows target ground.
- single target infernoes.

I am interested in this.

So you drop the heal on the minons when they are in the core trying to take down DE storage and getting torn up by WTs and ATs?

Or you use the heal on the loons so they last longer?

Send loons for WT..., drop healing so WT couldn't kill the loons...follow by minions. Loons are just shield and to destroy WTs.. minions destroy everything. This only works for crystal to master 3 leagues.

In master leagues you need to do hybrid, surgical looning + the style above.

Hey, I am a pro balloonion farmer that was just in masters 2. I'm also a th9 and I farm a lot of gold and de a day. Join my clan The One Percent (it has like 39 people in it) and ill show u some replays. I use 20 Balloons, 55 Minions, 3 WBs, 4 Barbs and 1 Arch. CC full of Balloons and 3 Rage Spells, 1 Lightning. The 1 star is incredibly easy with balloonion. I first get around 35% before i drop everything for the de. U usually want a de storage behind 2 Walls or 3, not heavily guarded by x bows and infernos. First lure cc with 2 Balloons. Lure them to a corner and when they are grouped up drop 1 lightning. Drop minions to check for air bombs. Drop ur balloons, cc, and minions behind. Drop rage spells where there is wiz, ADs, or infernos. If the de storage if now the first thing ur heroes will go for, that's awesome. Drop king first, then queen, then WBs. GL

There is some sweet loot at 2300 trophies and masters 2-3. The loot bonus also helps. I do all archer raids and balloonion raids.

Ur army comp is not weak, it just that there aren't enough minions.

Normally, for 1 star infernos aren't a worry. lvl 1 inferno tower wont do too much damage to ur balloons if u drop a rage spell to speed stuff up.

I am at Gold II, at lvl92 with maxed balloons, minions and heal/rage spells. I usually use barching for farming but its difficult to get DE so just recently I tried balloonions, and it is so much more effective. I insist on staying at Gold and keeping your TH outside. When I was at Crystal, keeping TH outside doesnt work. My base was destroyed by higher levels. I lost more than I farm.
And just 2 days, I got enough 60k DE to upgrade my Golem.
I use 18-20 balloons, 24 minions, 4 WB and the rest archers and barbs. Not using any spell if I can. And I can 100% TH9 base most of the time with 900-1.5k DE loot. And of course, loads of G and E too.

Of course the best league to farm for Dark Elixir is Master League there are plenty there, plus with balloonion strategy not long before your Heroes Maxed.
