Prevent people from lightning spell your storages

Dear Supercell
please add that you can't damage people's storages using lightning spells because I am sick and tired of noobs putting lightning spells on my dark elixir storage and getting 1.2k dark elixir by just doing that. Please implement this.

Or they could add something in to render specific spells ineffective, like a trap

Welcome back to the forums. This gets requested several times daily and is always a contentious topic. In the future please use the search function and join one of the ongoing discussions instead of starting a new, identical thread. You should also read the ruled out stickies at the top of the page. They will save you some grief in the future.

As for zapping, there is a link to SC's official response in my signature below. Polls on the topic show about 80% support for NOT changing the way it is now with 20% that want zapping stopped. In the end zapping is good for the game because it is irritating, even though it is a monumental waste of time and resources.

or you could stop farming where the noobs farm and go up in league.

Ineffective doesn't specifically mean that they do no damage just not enough to critically (wound) the target

While I do agree that there is room for a trap that mitigates spell effectiveness it would be far more useful strategically placed to impact other spells. People could certainly waste it trying to limit zapping but anything specifically designed to limit the already near useless lightning spell is a bad idea.

This I would much rather a spell that mitigated a rage spell near my town hall during war other than stopping a lighting on a storage

Exactly. But people waste their time zapping DE. I'm sure people would waste their spell mitigation trap trying to protect their DE. OK with me. Just makes their base that much easier to steamroll.

When a TH9 attacks my TH8 village and take my DE with that pesky lvl 15 queen of them, and their base is just too strong for me to raid properly, Ill zap that DE tank. Its my right to do so. If you have been getting a revenge like that its your own fault and if they use it in their attack.... STOP WHINING AND TAKE REVENGE how many spells do you have? 4? I have 3. If I would use it to attack first and get 4 lightning back I wouldnt be happy and think before pulling that stunt again
I also do that with my TH 7 AND TH6. YESSS when someone attacks my TH6 With dark troops I zap his DE tank. I cant use the looted DE and cant store it. But since its so annoying for my opponent its a good way to revenge.
And its even more annoying when a TH6 takes revenge like that because it will be wasted. And my opponent knows I pulled a mean lil ♥♥♥♥ stunt
