Why all the hate for healers?
Hey all, just a random post because I keep seeing healer-bashing going on in many forum posts.
Firstly I am a pretty well-developed TH10 (level 121) and I will say that I rarely use healers anymore because of playing in masters and champs. But anyway..
As a TH7-9 I used the giant-healer combo a lot, and I had a huge amount of success with it against storage bases. Giants would go in with wallbreakers, take out an air defence and then I would drop my healer (or two). The giants would then proceed to trash most of the defences, allowing me to take the majority of the base's loot with my other troops.
This strategy was incredibly useful, reasonably cheap because of the lack of spells, and as someone who raids once every few hours I had no issue with troop training times. I will accept that healers (even at level 4) are past their best at TH10-level, but they are awesome between TH6 and TH9, and it would appear that is the level of gameplay that they were designed for.
I just wondered if anyone else has the love for healers that I do? Let me know what you guys think :)
EDIT: The forum exclusive for the sneak peek says that healers will no longer trigger air traps - seemed like a common complaint in this thread so people have got to be happy with that.

For the healer haters out there, WHOOOAAA!
This will make a huge difference to my Valkyrie Tornado tactic, which I just made a video for (waiting for it to be uploaded)
Not triggering air traps is a huge deal. This means you don't have to anticipate where trap locations are, or suffer an instant loss of your healer.
Awesome for Th9-10
Makes spring traps more important at Th8, but hey in war they weren't used that much anyway
Th7, your gonna get healer stomped - sorry
