The true problem is supercell IS taking steps to counter ch3ating and the steps they have taken are what's actually crippling the game. It doesn't matter if your base gets taken out, you might be angry but it will pass. But if you can't find a decent match because of anti exploit measures that will kill the game. Or if they keep changing the game as an anti measure so often that keeping up with the latest strategies becomes a second job, that will kill it too. That's where we are at now, supercell wants the exploiters to fail so desperately they make their customers suffer.
That inconsiderate ******* from reddit troopers decided to promote exploits before quitting using all his fanboys. Lets say we get their current leader banned during war for being called orgasm to make up for it?:rolleyes:
You have no evidence of this, mods have said they are aware of it and doing what they can, and that the issue has already been passed on to the devs. Making this troll thread, that stupid troll petition all completely useless already. So just stop it and go away.

They refuse to discuss exploits on their official forums as to not encourage people to do it.

They aren't stupid, they know h@cks exist whether you think they know or not. They aren't denying their existence, they just aren't sitting here like chickens with their heads cut off every time a new exploit is discovered. No one benefits from having excessive exploiters in their game, they want them to be stopped as much as anyone. Stopping exploiters is difficult and a continuous and ongoing process.
You can never finish, there's always someone cleaver enough to find a bypass. One way or another.
And the suggestion in that similar thread to ban Jailbroken devices is terrible. My iPhone is jailbroken and I use it for legitimate purposes. How my phone is configured is of no concern to App Developers.
Attacking is done on the client software. No matter what, h@ckers will always be able to h@ck the client software.
While attacking, the client communicates with the server. The server makes sure all of the data from the client is valid. Otherwise someone could h@ck the client, make it pass false data to the server, and automatically win every attack.
The problem is, the client can't communicate with the server 100% of the time. The quality of mobile devices' internet connections is very unreliable. This means, the client software has to has to be able to run the attacking algorithms itself, in absence of the server.
Since the attacking algorithms exist on the client software, h@cks can prevent the client from communicating with the server, resulting in the ability to perform "sandbox" attacks.
To prevent sandbox attacks, they would need to remove the attacking algorithms from the client. This means, the client would have to have a solid and fast connection to the server 100% of the time, and there would be lots of issues with lag.
Basically, there are two options. Have smooth gameplay for everyone, but allow some people to che@t. Or prevent people from che@ting, but have laggy gameplay for everyone.
