Mae a player unable to leave a clan during war.

We all know the bug hiccup when we are leaders of a clan, and we declare war and they leave, it a pain right?

Can we have a feature that when a player is in the war, he cannot leave or f he does leave he is on probation from joining other clans, not just from war. As this leaves the clan down from potentially 6 stars as we are 2 attacks down. I am putting this suggestion forward as it happened a lot last war, to our clan and the opponents clan, and we only won as they had 3 members down meaning 6 attacks out of 20 gone and a potential of 18 stars gone.

Can we have something like this please Supercell? I know it may have been requested multiple times, but t wouldn't hurt for it to be requested another time right? :cool:

You do understand you're not asking supercell directly? It's the members who control wether or not if this issue will get any attention. So the supercell part and the clash on should be removed.

Yeah it wouldn't be a bad thing to implement. Just would be rather hard to code into war.

I think that this wouldn't be fair to be honest. Sure, it could help you win a clan war, but you should recruit members that you trust and won't leave when the clan war has started. Plus, I think that if the player doesn't want to participate in the clan war, and wants to leave the clan altogether, then it should be their choice to leave, and that they shouldn't be forced to stay.

You need to remember who you are complaining about here. Either the player leaving is leaving because you have a poor clan and/or poor leadership, or they are leaving because they have questionable moral integrity. For the sake of argument lets assume you are a wise and effective leader, so this must be one of those d-bags that hangs you out to dry. If you get your way and players are forced to stay or penalized for leaving . . . <fade to foreshadowed scene>

1) D-bag joins
2) You start war
3) D-bag wants to leave but can't (SUCCESS!!! He is stuck with you now!!!)
4) D-bag is a d-bag and wants out, so he decides to get kicked out
5) So he fills war castles with goblins and wallbreakers
6) And fills donations with goblins and wall breakers
7) And turns your clan chat into something that makes global look like bible study
8) And defames your clan on global
9) Then wastes both attacks in the war anyway
9a) Set their base up so it is super easy to 3*
10) And continues to fill war requests with ♥♥♥♥ troops
11) Maybe even comes to the forums to badmouth you and your clan
12) You kick them out
or
12) Your other clan members leave because you won't kick out the D-bag

Remember, this is already a person who doesn't care if they hurt your clan. Long story short, you are requesting a way to force people who don't want to be in your clan, who you don't even want in your clan, to be stuck in your clan. NOTHING good can come of this. Bad idea every time it is suggested.

A wise and effective leader would not propose this as it is not a wise or effective solution.

So I think we can assume they recruit from global and/or have an open clan and start wars immediately after people join.

Trying to "keep the forums friendly" and give him the benefit of the doubt. I'm in a giving mood today. Odds are he could benefit from some recruitment tips. Those would likely solve the problem outright. On that note . . .

Most people who switch between clans do it for very good, fruitful reasons. Since the game can't tell these players from your much maligned "hoppers" the majority of us would end up penalized because a few players don't want in your clan didn't want to be in your clan. The truly nefarious hoppers are usually very easy to spot and deal with. Players who are genuinely searching for a clan are simply part of the game, just like people searching for the right job are a part of real life. What you have hear is a clan management problem. One all of us have experienced and learned from. It has been discussed on the forum many times. Here's how most of us have solved this.

1) Set the clan to invite only.
2) Don't give elder to anybody who can't conduct themselves as an adult
3) Don't give Co-leader to anybody you don't trust
4) Make sure both elders and Co's understand that it is ok to accept new members
5) Make sure they understand they are expected to BOOT new members if
5a) They introduce themselves by asking for troops
5b) Introduce themselves with profanity
5c) Introduce themselves with some form of "rate my base!!!!"
5d) Don't respond when welcomed
5e) Ask for elder/Co in the first conversation
5f) Start filling castles with ♥♥♥♥
6) Clan rule that new members don't participate in the first war (kick/invite)
7) Only recruit 1-2 new players between each war, none during

Others may chime in with additional ideas but those are the basic ones. Follow those and hoppers will end 99% instantly. Not to mention you will crack a smile when you apply your boots to their crack.

But sometimes they tell me I have to give them troops or they will leave so I have to give them troops so they will stay. Then they leave anyways.

And don't say I am not careful!!!!! I am very careful and always make them promise me they are not hoppers and they swear. Then they still leave.

Yesterday I told a guy it was my last Pekka that I needed but he sad it was an emergency. Since it was hard to give the Pekka I didn't want to but then his friend requested to join and he said accept so I did and his friend promised too so I gave it. Then he left anyways. But his friend agreed with me that was wrong and said he would go bring him back if I gave some wizards so I gave the wizards and his friend went to get him. I hope they will be back today.

does this fix the problem?

the problem isnt that they leave its that they dont attack or contribute and by forcing them to stay in clan only to not attack or help out in any way doesnt improve the system at all.. also the way it is now I can be in a clan, attack in war, leave talk to my friends in another clan and hang out, then jump back into my clan as war is ending... its not a big deal but having the ability to come and go is nice and I think its handled the right way already.

Not to be insulting, but dont you think its kinda stupid to promise troops if they stay when they already desided to leave
If they want to leave, they leave and if you promise troops to stay, ofcourse they run off with your troops.
Also a NO is a NO. If you dont want to share surtain troops you dont have to share them. You cant buy good clanmembers with troops. You will get good clanmembers by being a good leader
with this answer you only prove that Dahimi is right and you are probably not a good leader.

That doesn't sound like the rwelshjr that is usually on the forum. My guess is he was being sarcastic or somebody got ahold of his PC while he wasn't looking and posted on his behalf.

But if I don't give the troops somebody might not like me.

And I am too a good leader how can you say that. I have started and lead 17 clans this year alone so I bet I know more than you do. One of them almost won a war too.
