Title says it all really, I'm pretty static at 3100, I win 10, lose 10.
I'm maxed defence and research, walls half level 8/9.
Only a casual player - is that the problem? Do I need to be always on to make Champs?
Any tips welcome!

I got stuck about the last 50 cups. Used a combo of hogs and drags without spells. It was expensive but good for the th or the 50% every time. I also stayed on about 2 hours to get that last little bit. Good luck.
boost your barracks and dont get off =) champions league isnt for casual players, also upgrade those walls and get a better base design, might help you win some defences
I could try stay online for longer, was hoping I could get there without having to do that.
Base has won some defences for me, although finding it hard to find something that will prevent a skilled attacker getting 50%
I'm working on the walls ;)
Also stuck on the last 100 cups :(

What th level are you?
I found the key to getting to champs was using up as much of the 6 hour session that I could, in the end it took me about two 6 hour sessions plus one 3 hour session in the evening to go from M3 up to champs in about 2 days.
I was a mid range th10 with max troops (using lavaloonion) and both heroes lvl 20 at the time if that helps?
that next button is ur new best friend, keep nexting till u find the right base u a sure u can at least 1 star, and dont log off until it kicks u out
Patience and determination just keep trying, i am using balloons and minions with rage spells.
Just keep looking for rushed bases or bad design and snipes.

I also hit a huge wall, i was about 50 cups away and i went into a slide of losing, lost 100 cups in a day attacking bases that the day before i would have won against, and was about to throw my ipad in frustration. I actually cried i think!
Took a days break, and then tried not to get too stressed about winning the raid.. if i put too much pressure on myself i lost, the next button is definitely your friend..
so keep calm, next, keep going and good luck!
I'm going to guess you are a TH9.
I just used a regular GoWiWi and 2 barracks, both heroes and spell factory boosted. 50 gems for 2 hours.
You should be able to win at least 30 trophies per hour. Try to find other TH9 and TH10 with level 1 infernos.
I won over twenty defs on my quest to champion. Max TH10 is the easiest to get to champion.

I've been on solidly with boost for a couple of hours and I'm at 3187. Like some have said, I've just been nexting till I find something I'm confident I can 2 star with GoWiWi.
Guess, always on and boost is the answer.
I need to practice my lavaloonian, I suck at it! :eek: Once I reach champs, I'll do that more.
I slowed down at 3070. As a casual player, my push strategy was to log off after every attack. I left no loot in my mid-TH10 base and nobody attacked me EVER until I reached 3000. That changed, and I basically would trade a 2-star win for a 1-star loss. Every day would be 4-5 attacks like that and I'd only gain 5-10 trophies.
I couldn't stomach another 2-3 weeks of that so I stopped. But I found barching INSANELY easy when I decided to drop.... So I actually think next time, I'll goWipe until I start getting attacked, then try a few boosted barch sessions to chip my way up.

2 lavas, balloons and minions. Launch both lavas spaced apart but aimed at the same AD. 3 rage, 2 freeze. Boost plus 6 hour sessions. You'll get there.
PATIENCE, PATIENCE, PATIENCE.
Just hit next if you aren't 100%. Sure you will win.
Also above 2900 or so it is great to put your th out (assuming your defenses are strong enough). You get pulled into the higher level champ raid queue and will more often than not get th picked for -1 or so making those log-offs less painful. They would rather hit your th with a hero, get the win bonus, and a cup or two than have to wait for an amry to retrain.
It's mental, your are beating yourself by wanting to get there quickly. PATIENCE!
It's a right way. But you need to be sure to get 2 stars, and look for a base with 27+ trophy cups. So you win 18+ cups (or 9+ if only 1 star), and lose 1-3 cups with outside TH. Rarely you will lose 2-3 stars, the worst can happen you lose all you profit and get a shield for the next attack.Quote:

I did it, took me a good 4 hour session with boost but I got there. Currently sitting on exactly 3200 cups !! :D
My last attack needed 13 cups, so 2 stars from at least 21 available was needed. I think I nexted 150 times before going back to base and rethinking (I was being far too cautious). I decided to settle for the first 2 starable base I could find, another 50 nexts later and I get my 2 stars... on a 20 cup base!!!!
LOL, that left me 1 cup away. So a quick flick through my revenge list to find a TH outside for a quick snipe and voila, here I am :)

I have been to champ 3 times now, and always with loonion, not lava. I find that it works the best for me in terms of cost, use of gems to boost, and time. But can take a little bit to master if you are used to ground troops, I have never really got the hang of gowiwi.
Each time you hit champ it gets easier... ;)
Yup, had a quick check of the clan to make sure it was you and I was greeted with that mean looking champions trophy at the top of the clan. Great work and I don't think I'm mistaken in saying that you are the first person in the clan to ever make Champions!Quote:

I'll probably be back soon. I was just being a complete pleb in clan wars and with my base level I felt I was bringing the level of the opposition we were paired with whilst not contributing much in the actual war.
Take it easy. The first time will always be a bit more challenging, think back when your first trip to Masters. It's really just the nerves. There's really no difference in bases beyond 3K trophies. Defence isn't something you should rely on, but maybe trying a different base may test your luck.Quote:

Corner you TH and just hope a champ player snipes you so you only lose 1-2 trophy and only pick fights you 100% know that you'll get a win. The last 100 trophies are rough, if you can set aside 2 hours to do a boost session it helps too.
