How long does it take to save for the 5th builder?

That sounds like a good way. Just turned th10 and wish I had a fith! But can't see me getting it till I go to champ. Only got just over 100 now!

Will you be able to keep it active?

For me it took a few tries to enter the iTunes game card code but after that it was smooth sailing. Altogether probably 5 minutes if you don't count actually buying the game card. I think it will go quicker if you just enter a credit card.

Actually got it today ;) been playing since may 2014.

The fastest way of getting the 5th builder with no gems is for the league achievements, and realistically without entirely obsessing over trophy pushing you won't get those done until you are very far progressed into the game. If you wait that long, to late TH9 or early TH10 you will miss out on most of the benefit of having the 5th builder. . .

Getting the 4th if you work at it is very doable, and I think I had mine around the end of TH7. After that I just bought the maybe 1200 gems to get builder 5.

My logic when I started this game was, if I'm going to play this game as religious as a game like Halo, then spending $40 wasn't a big deal. Knowing any RTS game, if you're not able to spend the money you have coming in on something, ten you're in the wrong. So I immediately spent $ to have 5 builders knowing I'd catch up by at least a small exponential factor having it from the beginning.

Even now as a semi-fresh Lvl 98 TH9 and I still have all 5 builders going. I started in June/July and have passed up everyone I know that have been playing for a couple of years.

W/ 5 builders and being an excellent BARCH'er, you can get to actual TH9 in 7 months!

Why would you bother saving up gems for ages when you can buy them for very little money and get a 5th builder straight away?

I did in about 15 months without going to masters. I didn't save gems in the very begining which is why it probably took so long. I also boosted on the one gem events. But when I started playing obsticles gave half as many on average and gem boxes didn't exis

With my 2nd account I started in oct last year. Ive already got 4 builders and around 350 gems toward my fith. I would say I'll have it in next 3 months.

So if you are clever with them you can do it very quickly without buying gems

For some, it's about the journey and not the destination. Sure my base development will be slower, but I'd feel more accomplished if I did everything without spending money

Do you have any of the bigger payout achievements done? Master league, friend in need, etc
