If SC gave us what we wanted we would be able to share resources, lightning spells wouldn't do damage to anything except barbarians, builders would work together, we would all get 3000 gems each time we logged in, dragons would do 1DPS . . . the list goes on. We customers are full of awful ideas that would either break the game or end gem sales. They have no obligation to make us happy at all. Only a bottom line they need to keep healthy. So far they have managed to do a phenomenal job with a few hiccups along the way.
Stick to what you are good at, Clash of Clans, and continue to continually improve it, and satisfy your customer base. Simple.
I completely disagree with you on this one. Videogames have a shelf life. Historically mobile games have had a significantly shorter shelf life than other online games. If SC is smart they are spending most of their energy and funds on a new game (CoC#2 perhaps?) which may include many of the suggestions we have made here in a game/codebase that already supports them. Trying to phase CoC out graciously over the next 12-24 months with a replacement is probably a better long term business plan.
