Inconsistent loot - your opinion...

In m3 I have 100k loot bonus which makes anything at least okayish really. So its mainly having really good loot (200k+ + 100k loot bonus) and sometimes just disappointing loot(100-150k +100k loot bonus).

Usually somewhere in between but for every 20 raids I do I get around 5-10 really good raids I guess. But no I feel it is mainly luck I don't think there are periods where loot is definitively better on a day-today basis, but after updates and maint breaks I do notice an actual change in the trend though.

Yes this happens to me and the clan at once. Now if someone finds loot, then most will find it. So whenever I have a shield I ask the clan if there is loot or not. In 90% if they find I find although each is in different league!!! Something wierd happening :p

My prediction is loot will increase within 2-3 days as those Chinese guys will be off for new year celebration.

When you find a trophy range that works, stay with it. I usually try to keep my trophies at around the exact same amount. If you keep attacking and win trophies but don't drop a troop or a barb King to bring them back down, you end up in another range and it's lost. One trophy range may work for a day or a week but when you see it dry up, it's time to move on to a new one. (And what I mean by range is not a league, but the trophy count itself.)

Being a th9, I always felt the need to be higher up in trophies for some reason, but in the silver leagues, if you can find the right trophy range, you can get everything without using all your troops and spells (a lot of rushed bases with crappy defenses, besides the th5-7 people.) It's where I am maxing out my base. (Right now all my defenses are maxed and I'm working on dark troops, heroes, and walls.) I can even find dark elixir there in silver. It's sometimes a lot of nexting, but at other times, very little. Just depends on the game that day.

I agree, loot can be all over the place.

This is exactly what I wrote about yesterday in another thread: After farming for hundreds of hours I have noticed that you usually get 2-3 good loot bases in the beginning of your gaming session independent of the loot situation. What independent means in this case is that even if the loot is overall bad in your loot range it seems to me that SC has set things up so that they push 2-3 good bases to your early searches. THis would be just fine for an occasional gamer who kills time with the game before going to bus or something but will not satisfy HC farmers. I am seeing posts like yours all the time "I got 1-2 good bases then it was all dead for zillion nexts" which seems to support my finding.

Yeah the bottom line is you need to find the sweet spot for whatever your farming.

I farm lower Crystal 3 (1950-2050) as a max TH9

I find loot comes and goes, and is varies according to the time of day, and weekends are different also. I assume this is to do with the number of people raiding at the time.

I'll take a collector base, but it's fat TH8's and TH9's that I'm looking for, they make for a much more satisfying raid. But some people just snipe these loaded TH8 and 9's, taking the good loot away. Snipers have a lot to answer for.

Events like 1 gem barracks, quick cook barbs etc kill the loot as they make people raid more.

Interestingly I just got booted off came back on and got 300k each, then a 250k each. Which makes me wonder if it is the time of day or something to do with match making
