Based on the history of mmorpgs, how long do you think Clash will last?

I was always more of a first person shooter type of player. I dabbled with World of Warcraft and just couldn't get into it so I dropped it. This is my first time really getting into an mmorpg type game. For those of you who are very familiar with video games, how much longer do you think Clash will last and why?

based on MMORPG?

hard to compare, Clash isn't really MMORPG (technically)
and MMORPGs are console games, Clash is mobile

Clash is more open to casuals since it's mobile

I'd say that clash would last longer than the average MMORPG

I couldn't really think of any other way to group Clash with other games. That's the closest I could think of

So what would you say is the remaining lifespan? 2 more years? 5 more years?

Unless a game or two outstand CoC, it can last forever unrealisticly. :rolleyes:

Based on the history or toasters and ping pong, clash of clans will be a round for a long time.


MMORPGABCDEF doesn't matter. You have to consider the mobile market. Clash is a free, easy to pick up and put down, social game. If they keep coming out with new content, and manage to be socially relevant, they'll be around a long time. Mobile decices aren't going anywhere.

And yes, CoC isn't a RPG, and neither is a MMO(I think)

I just know that I'm gonna be raiding and farming for quite a while before I get tired of it

Well whatever it is, based on the success of games that are similar to this, how long do you think it will last?

also, there are many MMORPG
if a player gets bored, they'd just change games

for CoC it's different, if they get bored and try to play another game similar to CoC, they'd just come back
CoC has no real competition in mobile games

btw, I think the longest running MMORPG is Ragnarok Online? 13 years
korean mmorpgs are hard to shutdown

for lifespan....
I think SC would still be on, until the death of mobile gaming (if a new device was added)
or maybe in 2 years :rolleyes: IF TH10 is the last leg of CoC
