Unique but AWEOSME defense idea

I have an idea to spice this game up...

instead of the typical approach and upping the levels of all the defense how about....

you add more available defenses to choose from and have your base have 'spaces' like your army camps/offense. You can substitute defenses in and out. For example:

max 500 defense spaces
infernos - 50 spots
xbows-35
air d-20

etc. it will take tweaking to get all the numbers perfect.

this will allow everyone to have completely unique bases. You can even throw walls in. Some people will have more or less. This will reveal attacking skills because you have to analyze what defenses that base is favoring.

It it is also so incredibly cool that everyone can make their own base. In champs im tired of seeing all the EXACT SAME bases.


Thoughts???

So you want completely redo how bases are built? At high end leagues, you'd see nothing but infernos and xbows. No thanks.

Saw a video on YouTube that claimed the "perfect base", and the video image was of about 20 infernos kept safe by level 10 walls. This brings my mind to that!

Just in case you didn't understand, I don't support the idea.

I like the premise, but the idea needs work. I still think people need to have the ability to upgrade the defenses they choose to use for their base. If you choose to use 20 Air Defenses, for example, I don't think they should all be the same strength. You would need to upgrade each one.

And the only way that would work is the costs and build times would need to come WAY down. Can you imagine upgrading 20 Air Defenses to level 8? Over 16 million gold and 45 days for each one. Ugh.

Obviously you have to make the stronger def exes worth more points so you can only have a couple. Also if they want like 5 inferno and zero other defenses they will still get wrecked.

Thats the beauty if you want 8 air def you'll have no room for ground defense. You have to be creative in your choosing. Also it will give maxed bases something else to upgrade.



Some me of you are struggling with this..you can't substitute an infer evenly for a cannon. It would be like 4/5 cannons for that.

not really good inferno already do all other defense job so it well be all inferno or no inferno (depend on his space)

this idea is good for a new game maybe

I actually like this idea. Instead of troop comp, it's base comp. Wall should have 'housing' space also.

So if you opt to have 10 infernos, you wouldn't have walls protecting them.

Nice idea but still needs fine tuning.

Any other comments/thoughts?

Ummmm.... just noo. people would be substituting cannons for archer towers and Air Defenses for Infernos and people would have practically infinite traps if this is where you are going.

I dont really understand. if you had this, wouldnt bases be way too big? like people could have 100 cannons, because they would probably be low housing space compared to other defences. And i think the idea is overpowered.
