Hey guys!
I'm on a mobile device so no pics from me sadly:(
But I hope you can picturise this feature in your own heads.
Also, this is the first time I have posted a proper idea on IFR, so it may not be great.
Yes, I've looked at the stickies and used the search function, the closest to this idea that anyone got was a "Make your own ranks" idea. This is similar, but different...
So here goes...

OVERVIEW
Clan Authority Settings (or just Clan Settings) will be a new tab on your clan's profile page. The whole point of the feature is to give more freedom to clans, and add a bit more fun to the "clan" part of the game. Basically, you can control what different ranks can and can't do.
Please note that new ranks will NOT be added. This is just customising the existing ranks of Leader, Co-leader, Elder and Member.
DETAILS
What things can you change?
You can change who can:
Kick members
Kick elders
Kick co leaders
Even kick leaders (more details about that below)
Demote to member
Demote to elder
Demote to co
Promote to elder
Promote to co
Promote to leader
Donate
Start war
Change clan description, requirements, status etc
Change clan settings
Invite
Send clan mail
Accept a request to join
Basically everything, APART FROM REQUESTING FOR TROOPS. Anyone can request for troops. Please tell me if I've forgotten something.
What would the clan settings page look like? How can you change the settings?
Upon clicking the clan settings tab, there would be many pages with the different "privileges" on them. For each privilege, there would be 4 check-boxes for the 4 ranks. Clicking the check boxes would decide if that specific rank has that privilege. Here is what I think should be on each page (SEE can change it):
Page 1: Kicking - Kicking members, elders, cos, and leaders, count as 4 separate privileges
Page 2: All three promoting privileges
Page 3: All three demoting privileges
Page 4: Inviting, Accepting a requesting to join, Changing clan settings, Changing clan description, requirements, status
Page 5: Donating, Starting a war, Sending clan mails
But can't someone just kick/demote the leader?
Ahhh about the kicking and promoting/demoting part. Only the leader has access to the "who can kick/demote/promote the leader part". Only the co leaders and leader have access to the "who can kick/demote/promote co leaders part". And so on.
USES
How is this helpful? Why would people use this?
Req n go clans - This way, members can't donate.
Solution to hoppers:( - As much as I hate to say this, people won't be able to use the "I just wanna send a clan mail" excuse anymore. Was I the only guy who used to use that technique? It worked:rolleyes:
Ever wanted to have a communist clan? - Well now, even the members can have the same rights as the leader!
Leader overthrown! - I have no idea who would possibly want this, but if a leader wants people to be able to demote him...He can make that happen!
More clan possibilities - I'm sure this would encourage me to join a clan!
PROS
More clan set up possibilities - it will give birth to many new clan types
Makes life easier for req n go, and many other clan types
Reduces "trolling (:()" and therefore whining
It's always fun to have a co leader <--> elder swap day or something similar!
CONS
Could be complex
Could be hard to programming
Could make hoppers complain:rolleyes:
OTHER TINY DETAILS THAT AREN'T SO IMPORTANT
The only small detail I can think of is this:
Almost everything in clash has a nickname. From th to cw, everything has a nickname of some sort. This feature could be cas or cs, depending on what SEE calls it.
All feedback is helpful!
