Introducing Revenge Shields!
Hey guys, I just signed up because I wanted to share some of my ideas with you!
I've seen many posts about how revenge pretty much doesn't exist, the main reasons the long-lasting shields and sometimes the different time zones, and I recently came up with a possible modification that could make taking revenge easier: Revenge Shields.
Now how do these work? We know that each time you are attacked, there is a chance you get a shield that lasts for a certain amount of time that is proportionate to the percentage of destruction your enemies wrought on your base, either 12 or 16 hours. My idea is to make a new type of shield that doesn't interfere with the normal one. Everytime you're attacked (not revenge) you get the normal shield (if percentage is reached) and the Revenge shield, that is equal to 1/4 of the normal shield. Example: if you get a 16 hour shield, you get a 4 hour revenge shield. This shield only protects you from revenge attacks, while the normal shield will now only protect you from, guess what, normal attacks!
When you attack normally, the R.S won't end, but it won't stack with other R.S you could obtain by getting attacked normally other times, because it will have to end in its time. If you decide to revenge on somebody, your R.S will end, but your N.S will stay (or it could not, this really depends on what would be fairer and not overpowered).
But what if somebody takes revenge on you? If your R.S is inactive, they will be able to pummel your base (or fail). In this case, the possible shield will go from 6 to 9 hours, depending on the damage your village took. If your adversary decides, for some unknown reason, to only snipe your exposed TH, you will win and receive a number of trophies. For this reason you won't be able to win Revenge Attacks if you don't at least destroy 50% of your adversary's buildings, or destroy their town hall along with 40% of their buildings. Winning these battles will get you trophies and sweet revenge. Why do I say sweet? Maybe another post, if this one is liked.
Thank you for taking time to read this!
