Premium items and the importance of stocking & buying machines

I recall reading somewhere about trading premium items for expansion materials. However, the trading threads are separate, one for expansions and one for regular/premium items.

How would someone go about trading in this manner? I'm looking to get into it myself, running dairy and sugar mill only, and fishing constantly.

Hi. Technically you could use both threads. But i suggest you to go or the expansion items thread since it is the most active one. For your dairies, sugars and fish you may get plenty of land expansions at 1:1 ratio

Okay, thanks :o Would land expansions be the easiest to get, then trade those for SEMs and BEMs at a higher ratio? I've never used the trading thread before, but I have traded. Just want to know for sure before I go there with an unusual trade offer :p

Good information MadeleineAkaino!! :) I wish I could have read something like this (or even knew there was a forum for information like this:p) when I first started playing, it would have helped me out a lot.

Well you can offer anything. If you get too many replies may be your offer is too good. If you don't get any replies despite multiple ads may be the market is shifting elsewhere or your offer is too high.

It is very easy to trade dairy, sugar, fish, lobsters at 1:1 ratio for LEMs because most high level players who have unlocked all don't need them anymore. For SEMs mayyy be, but it is pretty hard to trade food for BEM as everyone is working on their barn.

Still if you want to do that i would say offer 2-3 creams for SEM and 4 creams for BEM. You never know, especially during events ppl might be willing to trade their BEM for food.
