Ah....no. Considering we had one not even 2 months ago, SC should not have to indirectly reward someone for having good photoshop skills.
I'm down for any excuse to have a 1 Gem boost special.

Supercell never stated an update was 'just around the corner' people just assumed we should have had one by now.
Omg no barracks boost!! The loot dries up and you get attacked constantly. Now I'd be for a 1 gem collector/drill boost.
Whatever, supercell is guilty of something and we deserve a one gem boost. It's their fault this game is so addictive, although true they couldn't take me if I didn't already know how to go.. Let's do a 50% at fault thing and get a 3.5 day boost and I'll buy some hours on the other 3.5 days.

Why stop there, and just make the rest of the year 1 gem boost?
Sure that would be fun...but its silly to expect a 1 gem boost everytime the "public" thinks its been too long since an update.
