Honestly, as a th 10, I welcome any attacks on my base, but I really don't want to have to train a bunch of golems, wizards, and witches to get fewer resources than I could with my normal army and make my clanmates feel better. As a leader, I could probably fend off the storm, but higher levels might be dissuaded from joining low-level clans for fear of being inundated with revenge requests (which would take a lot more time/effort than donation requests).
Have you guys checked the date on this thread??

I agree that a TH10 running amuck among TH6 players is not likely nor reasonable given the lack of rewards. It would be a rather extreme case. I chose those numbers because another poster used them, not because they make a lot of sense given the loot penalty. It is much more likely that it is a TH7 or TH8 farming TH6 players.
There is no moral superiority in _any_ playing style for the game. Play it the way that you enjoy, it _is_ a game after all. I have not been playing that long. At TH5, my personal preference is to stay at a trophy level in which I win most Defense battles. The ones I lose hopefully are to TH sniping although I don't give them a free ride either. I then have a nice list of "Revenge" attacks to sort through and plan out. There are a lot of folks who push their TH without building out their base or managing their Trophy level. Nice targets!
For me, watching a target over several days, building an army to defeat that target and then pouncing right before they come online in the morning is a delicious thing. My non-revenge attacks tend to be for the sole purpose of managing my trophy level with the occasional act of unrepentant violence if I stumble upon a well stocked village. Of course, that is just the twisted warp of my idea of how to play the game. It is not, in any way, the "right" way to play the game.
I proposed the "Clan Revenge Share" idea with an eye toward building relationships inside the clan and also with the goal of setting up Clan vs Clan actions. It builds on natural, human, reactions to finding dragon poop. It also may help with some of the perceived "unfair" interactions that happen. Personally, if my village gets pillaged I figure it is my fault for allowing my trophy level to get too high or for screwing up my defense.
And, no, I would not change the current Shield / Revenge interaction. It works well. Without the Shield, many players would simply be unable to play.
There are two tweaks I would consider if Revenge could be shared.
The first is to assign a cost to Sharing a Revenge. This could be a nominal cost to reduce any tendency to share all revenge attacks. Perhaps 3X the normal matchmaking cost. It might even be slightly more significant at 1 Gem. We find those in the mushrooms often enough that I would not begrudge A Gem. If "Share the Revenge" costs a Gem per share, it also helps the business model for SC.
The second is to contemplate the idea that a Shared Revenge attack generates the possibility of another Revenge attack in response. This idea needs some significant thought and playtesting. It opens the door to a "Hatfield and McCoy" feud between clans. If each Shared Revenge also costs a Gem, those feuds could get expensive quickly. The feud is ended when someone does not Share the Revenge with their clan. This allows anyone to end a feud by simply not sharing revenge.
I would like to point out that a Shared Revenge is NOT a guaranteed attack. The opportunity only lasts in the Clan Chat until it is pushed out by chatter (24h?). If the target is shielded or on-line before the Shared Revenge can be used, it is wasted. It would have to be shared, again, with a new fee of course.

This is a great idea but the risk of many attacks from one clan is a poss. So maybe you can nominate someone in your trophie bracket to fight for you and if they dont want to or dont reply to your request in 15 mins it is passed on to the next player in the trophy bracket? So its a bit like asking for donations from ur cc.
Or use TH bracket? So only a TH 5 player can cpan revenge enogther TH 5 player so you dont have high lvl players attavking low levels?
That'd be terrible! You'd probably get destroyed from everything you raided. You couldn't farm because people would constantly attack you.

My friend had a similar idea but that one entire clan attacks another clan

If one of his clan mates uses the Share Revenge, it is done. It is not available to every person in the clan, just the first one to make the successful attack.
No need to worry about 49 attacks from the rest of the clan. Only one attack, by one of the clan members.
