Hey all I am just wondering, I was thinking about spending 100-200$ worth on gems and I figured why not ask the community what would be best to use the gems on? I was thinking walls? But I really dont know.. please help me out guys!!

i have all maxed out troops besides wizards drags pekkas and balloons and maxed army camps.
Boosting barracks is super fun and much more efficient than gemming resources.

I think it is fun to have barracks running at 4x normal speed because you essentially don't stop raiding. As for what to spend any gold on, I think your teslas and walls could use the most work. In general, though, defensive upgrades provide more benefit than wall upgrades (if walls are at least lvl 6, which yours are), but you don't really want to max TH 8 and still only have level 6 walls. Try to strike a balance and don't let anything get too far ahead of anything else.Quote:

Haha, spend the money if you like, but just try to be smart with what you do with the gems. Barracks boosting is the most efficient way to convert gems to resources, because you just keep raiding for 45 minutes straight. Boosting barracks isn't your only option though. Gemming the upgrade times is very useful as well, for example. I do agree with your OP that walls could benefit from some upgrades, and your teslas and archer towers are subpar as well. Personally, that is what I would focus on.Quote:

Don't gem resources for the walls that's one of the worst ways you could use them. Do like zach says and boost barracks and farm gold like crazy, then when you max storages, gem a build to completion and use the builder to dump all the gold into walls, start another build, and repeat. Not only do you get a lot more gold for your gems, but you also get to actually play the game and have fun in the process instead of just buying it.
Also if you want to upgrade your barracks, save some gems to rush those builds.

Yea it's much more efficient. Depending on your luck with raids it can be about 5-10x more efficient than simply buying the resources. For example, to fill my gold storages the remaining 1.8mil it costs me 819 gems. While boosting barracks, I can usually farm between 1-1.5mil in the 45 minute period with average luck searching, more if I hit big bases.Quote:

I agree that the best use of gems once you have 5 builders is for faster raiding.
I'm split between boosting barracks and gemming troops from the barracks though. I do both on occasion.
Its a little slower, but decently cost efficient to gem troops after every battle. you don't have to hold yourself to 45 continuous minutes either, which is a bonus. Either way, its quite fun to attack without waiting around for troops.
By boosting barracks i would need to be very efficient in queuing troops without wasting time which I'm scared I may mess up ahah so idk! Very helpful tips i just wish gems weren't so costly ! Or more importantly i wish the walls for lvl 8 weren't 500k gold each.... ;(
Max out your barracks,then speed build armies to get more resources. Think bout it 200-300k per raid is going to cost you around 40-50 gems depending on troops you speed up. If you spend gems directly on resources your lookin at 100gems for 100k ish of a resource (not de).
A. boost barracks.
B. gem all barracks to maxed then use the rest to boost barracks.
I would go with B.
I'm spending all my monies on lvl 8 walls lol. I have so many other upgrades to work on, but every time I get over 500k, I blow it on a wall. I feel your pain.Quote:
