New defensive structure/trap idea; illusion window
I think the wizards are capable of designing a magic window that makes the two buildings it separates look like they have switched spots, even though they have not. This would effectively disguise the two buildings as each other. This is a great way to change the game play of CoC. It adds mystery and uncertainty to any attack.
Specifics:
- It would be 3 spaces long, capable of disguising all buildings except the town hall, camps and laboratory.
- The window itself would be hidden, or undetectable to would-be attackers.
- It can only be revealed/shattered when the attacker breaches the wall segment in which it sits atop.
- It would have to be re-armed with gold/elixir just like other traps.
In a hypothetical layout, you have a segment of 3 walls in which the illusion window is placed atop.
You design your base so that on the left side of the window, you put your x-bow, and on the right side is your gold mine.
You log off and someone attacks your village, they drop giants and goblins... The goblins head toward your x-bow which looks like a gold mine, and the giants start attacking the gold mine because it looks like an x-bow. The troops and the attacker would not know the difference until both buildings are destroyed.
Another interesting situation would be to use it to disguise your air-defense with a mortar.
When an attacker uses lightning spells to take out an air defense for a mass dragon raid, they actually destroy your mortar instead of your air-defense. Trickery! Before you say this is unfair or OP, your odds are still 3 in 4 for choosing the correct air defense if you are attacking a base with 4 air defenses. However, at lower town halls with fewer defenses, the odds would be worse, so supercell would have to make it available at town hall 7 or higher, for example.
Supercell would also have to program it so that it cannot disguise blank spaces since that would affect spawning locations.
I have not read a similar idea anywhere in the forums, including the ruled out idea thread.
