Attacking own TH levels - who has it best/worst?

Is there any TH level that has a distinct advantage or disadvantage over attacking a village of same TH level?

I guess for the sake of argument, we'll say that each TH level is maxed out - troops, defenses, and walls.

Is there a particular TH level at which a maxed player should be able to reliably 100% destroy a similar level maxed out village?

I know that other factors play into this - army composition, base design, trap placement, etc, but just wondering if anybody has it better off, or worse off than others.

I know I have seen it said many times that maxed dragons at TH7 can easily wipe out any TH7 base, and some TH8. Is that the "sweet spot"?

It's not TH8, I can tell you that.

I think the last level that attack overpower def is TH7.

I've seen plenty of TH8 bases that can defend against most popular attacks even from maxed troops.

But for TH7, there is just not enough fire power in def.

Have to agree with the above. In my opinion TH7 attacking a TH7 with level 2 dragons would be the best constant 3 star... at least out of the town halls that can attack above their size as well. In my experience it's rare to see a TH6 or lower who can actually attack get less then 3 stars against their equals with a war army.

TH7 with dragons will 3 star any th7, maxed or not.

Maxed th10 attacking a maxed th10, 3 stars are verrry hard to pull off

Its pretty hard for a th10 to 3 star another th10. TH7 is relatively easy, G-heal with some zaps and a rage.

TH7 has the easiest chance of 3 starrring their own level.

TH8, 3 stars with a well executed gowipe is doable......

So far I'd say TH9 has proved the hardest to get 3 stars from(as an equal). As a TH9, I find 2 stars no problem, but 3 is by no means a certainty - at least in my experience so far ...... (Only just got hounds to lvl2, and still trying the lavaloon strategy - jurys out on that one, but many seem to be saying its an easy 3 star - I have 3 starred a couple, and failed spectacularly on others)

It gets harder the higher your th, as it should

I'm an almost maxed th 8 and for me it's impossible to 3 star a maxed th 8 with a flawless layout.
