I have completely snapped. In one night I have lost close to 9 thousand dark elixir due to stupid lightning spells. Supercell has to take action here. They should make lightning spells do half damage to Resources. This would be a good way to make sure someone can't be cheap in stealing resources. Does anyone else have any ideas?

9000? I don't get that. I've never taken more than a few hundred due to spells. The fact you lost 9k is absurd.
Rather than complaining you do understand that when you revenge you'll get it back and a lot more than what was stolen.

what TH lvl are you? what league are you in?
just put your TH so you get sniped, and ride the shield if you're not gonna stay long
you should adapt to the game, not the game adapting to you

The funny thing with revenge is, they are either A) hiding behind a shield like the coward they are, or B) online all day or C) they've spent their DE already and all their elixir is gone too cause of the 100+ spells they have cooked in the last 6 hours. They stay online for hours just doing that to people.
And before someone says "Would you rather them just run over your base and take all of it and gold/elixir?" Yes, yes I would cause that's PLAYING THE GAME.

I am Town Hall 10, I'm in a pretty low league, Silver 1 and I currently (excluding my losses) have around 95k DE
