Use elixir on level 7+ walls

So I've noticed a lot of th8s (including myself) have nothing to do with their elixir and still have plenty of defenses to upgrade. I was thinking in order to give that elixir a purpose supercell could change wall upgrading with elixir to include walls going from 7 to 8 to give that elixir a purpose and to make that wall push at the end of th8 just a little bit quicker. Thoughts? Comments? Concerns? I would like to hear more on this idea.

What a very original and creative idea that no one has thought of before and has never been debated to death!

If they allow this, when you reach TH9, you will realised it is a bad decision. Now that you are at lower TH, you wont understand the problem.

Personally, I would suggest allow using elixir to re-arm traps, instead of using gold.

Probably because SC had an office pool to guess the number of complaints it would generate.

Get the feeling that is a regular game they play.

No, elixir for walls is only for level 8+

The reason they made it for TH9 and 10 only is because in the update where all walls could be upgraded with elixir, there was an elixir drought.

You think that now because elixir balance has been restored to the economy. When I reached TH8 soon after the elixir for walls upgrade went live, I almost quit the game because of a lack of elixir. It was so painful to get the elixir that you need when you reach a new town hall. Imagine what it would have been like for me when I reached TH9 about 4 weeks ago!

This must not happen again. All those 150k+ gold raids that also give you decent elixir to recover the cost of your army and spells will become unfeasible when you get negative elixir from every such raid. You don't notice it now, but you will notice it then.

I think better idea could be that:

You can upgrade ANY level of wall with elixir, BUT...

Only if you have full elixir storage.


So there would be elixir available for looting, but not wasted with full storages.

Edit: Even better idea: Make it so that you have to hold 90% of th max elixir and then you can upgrade one wall. So no one can't just keep elixir storages small and no need to get 100% filled (when always some get wasted).
So elixir you need to hold per th level:
Th7 - 3,6M
Th8 - 5,4M
Th9-10 - 7,2M
