READY-Button for Prep day

After reading a few threads about removing or shorten the prep day in Clan Wars, I have a idea how to handle it.

If the system found an opposing Clan for War, the prep day should start immediately - just like now - and you have time to fill CC and check out enemy bases. Nothing new so far, but once you're done there should be a READY-Button for both Clans to signal that your clan is ready for Battle. Battle Day start as soon as both sides are ready for war.

What if no clan gets ready?

Battle day will start anyway after 24h

Who has the ability to set Clan ready?

Of course the ready Button is only for Leaders and Co's available.

I'd like to read your opinions on that. Please let me know.

I love the idea:cool:. Maybe even have it to just leader in case a co leader gets impatient but that also goes back to only promoting trustworthy people

Good idea :) I like it, I don't war a lot, but sometimes I feel excited and want it to start right away, with this it could :D

Seems good to me. Sometimes we are ready an hour after prep day begins

What happens to the time saved on prep day? Does it get added to battle day? (has to or SC can't do this)

What happens if you press the ready button and your opponent does not. Then 6-7 hours later while you are asleep the opponent presses theirs? Does war now start at an unexpected time when you are not around?

Good point, I didn't think of that. I'm not sure if there is really a solution to that.

If the time off prep day gets added to battle day it is less severe. You can still start your warring when you planned since you now have over a 24h window for it.

And since SC can't shorten the 48 hours between bonus payouts without taking a hit on profits it really does have to just add the time to battle day.

But of course, if they did this the game kiddies with nothing else in their lives would be right back here complaining about the extra long battle day. Most threads involving the Surrender button and the ready button are kids that do nothing but game all day so they sit on their hands and wait. The people with lives like the 24 hour clock so they can plan to be free at the right times.

Because of the things the OP did not know to he needed to address I actually am doubtful he read up on all the threads like he claims.

That probably won't be a problem, then, because, as you said, it can simply be added onto the timer for Battle Day.

As I wrote I red a FEW threads and not all of them! Neither I said that this idea is fully developed and ready to implement. That's why I'm posting this here to read a few comments and possible improvements to this.

So, I think the time saved in prep should be added up to the Battle day, this way we keep the 48h-rhythm.

Beyond this the READY-Button needs to have the function to toggle on or off. This way you can make sure war doesn't start at an unexpected time. You can also see whether your enemy is ready or not, so you can plan very accurately when the war will start.

And to the last point about complaining kiddes: In my experience kids keep complaining about this anyway, mostly they're very impatient. So it doesn't matter how long prep/battle day is as long as both together results 48h. To satisfy those kids the whole time for a war has to be reduced. I don't think that this will happen.

The "READY" button would make the process of war more complex.. There will be no uniformity. Like rwelshjr said, wars would begin at totally unexpected times. And also, the preparation time getting added to the war day time wouldn't be fair for all clans. Some clan would begin wars just a minute after prep day would begin and would 2 days to do attacks..
