Few Ideas that'll make War fun again

For some War is lacking. Yeah It was great feature when it 1st came out but its full potential has yet to be seen. Biggest thing we need is a opt in/out feature this been asked & begged for numerous times. And Why not eliminate War Prep day all together - Clans could opt in who goes to War do they prep then when prep done search for opponent. The whole sitting around 24hrs waiting to War after castles been filled 10minutes after search is ridiculous. Also we need a War Leader Board which covers Most Clan Wins - Most Individual War Stars. More stats couldnt hurt.

I agree with the prep day for cw I don't think you should be waiting 24 hours.

If being woke when war starts is a problem either dont start it or join a local clan within your timezone. Its only the inactive ppl that like the long waits.

I'm happy with the 24 hour prep day. Tend to train war cc troops overnight so it doesn't interfere with normal play. Would be good to end war though when war has clearly been won by one clan. I guess this would work if either both clans have done all attacks - war automatically ends, or each clan has the option for leaders to end war and when both clans have set war to end, then war ends. Just stops the waiting around to be able to start next war.

that's not what the game is about...

this is a global game, and it will stay that way, with this kind of thinking, you just want the game to be molded FOR YOUR CONVENIENCE

opt in/out has been suggested before as for SC's Statement for this:

the prep day was made for losers, before they turn to whiners
cause as you know, when you lose, you don't really get back the rsources that you invested in the war, the 24hour prep day before the war enables you to farm more, not everyone is a hard core farmer

opt in/out has been suggested before as for SC's Statement for this:

Who dont want it convenient for them & I already stated opt in/out has been asked for a number of times. Thats why my entire post didnt revolve around it.

It pretty much does revolve around this thread. I think that is what "Biggest" means. Anyways, this request needs to stop. It's just not going to happen.

1. Its not realistic to say that people should only join clans in their times zone.
2. Players that do more in life than just play video games usually need the 24 hours to have their personal schedule lined up so they can be free and online when war starts.
3. SC needs to keep the time between bonus payouts at 48 hours (paying them out faster than that would reduce profits) so war day would then have to be 48 hours which is too long.
4. Fun 'again?'. Most of us think war is fun right now still. Otherwise we would not be doing it any more.

I have never been a fan of the reducing the war prep day but your suggestion I think brings some merit to the argument. If clans had a constant live war camp/map and CC's could be donated to at any time - given that war bases can now be edited any time, there really would not be a need for a 24 hour prep. I would still like to see at least a 1 hour prep time to give clans a little time to talk some strategy. Would not want it to jump right in.

Either way - I am fine with 1 hour if they make some tweaks or leave it at 24 hours, tweaks or not.

Opt in/out already available

To all of those people who wish for an opt in/out feature... It already exists. When I started my alt account I joined the same clan as my main to donate myself troops to help start me along. When war time came i left, started the war, jumped back in after. Problem solved no th4 in the war.

As for shorter war prep times? I believe there COULD be a ready to war button in which if perhaps enough clan members are ready, on both sides, you could forgo the remaining prep time... Handy when everybody is ready on both sides and just waiting. Without both sides being given the option of having the 24 hours to prepare it becomes one sided when you're battling a clan 12 hours off your local time.

That's no solution. the workaround of kicking guys to start a war presents too many other problems. its a deficiency they need to fix.

inactive? no more like people who have jobs and class and can't log on at certain times of the day, you need to take that into consideration.

The only reason I could see for opting out of a war is if you are going to be offline for an extended period (ex vacation, exams, etc) in which case we will often just leave the clan and return when we can. I suppose the feature wouldn't be overly harmful... But who gets to pick whose in or out?

The leader. The people that need to stay out say so and then the leader kicks them when war is being started and invites them back after getting opponent. That way they can still be in the clan where they can check in every once in a while.

You are exhibiting the perspective of someone that invests more of their lives into video games than most. If the games are that much of what you are involved in I can see why it looks that way to you.

I agree with you on everything except for eliminating prep-day. I have no problems with prep-day but possibly reducing it to 12 hours would appease you. For future advice, it is more effective to keep to forums to one idea instead of many, simply make more threads.

What I think would make war more motivating to contribute or try your best would be winning loot that is a bit more exclusive than just resources. Maybe they should create some kind of troop that can only be won during clan wars that have just a one time use and cannot be trained. Maybe win a special hero that can be used during just one attack. But if anything these types of special units shouldn't fall victim to hoarding so there should be a nominal limit on how many you can stash. Just nothing too OP that can easily win you a battle.
