Idea to deter trolling in CLAN WAR

My idea is simple, and hopefully will deter some from trolling clan wars by joining a clan, and leaving during war prep. as a cooldown to start a new war most trolls do not care about.

The idea is:
Anyone to leave during war prep will not only suffer from a meaningless cooldown, but also during cooldown, their builders go on strike and will pause all buildings/refuse to start buildings until their cooldown has been completed.

I understand they could still leave during war, but that is their choice to use attacks or not.

Nah they have a choice whether or not to be in a clan. Just make sure to recruit more quality members:cool:

the idea is to punish the non quality members. it would affect everyone, who ALL have a choice to be in a clan or not

It is just an idea, and i have not seen it in the sticky as turned down or in process. hope to see it in either as an idea.

So if someone is in a non quality clan they are forced to stay there during the non quality war

Let's say i become unhappy with leadership and want to leave. but in your scenario, i can't leave since i'll be punished by my builders going on strike. do you really want me staying in the clan and donating WBs and Gobs to everyone's CC requests? either way i'm not attacking. your plan encourages people to stay in the clan and be spiteful.

This would also punish quality players who have a family of clans. We have three clans and our members often move between the clans. Having our builders go on strike would be a royal pain.

it would be a risk either way, trolling is going to happen. WB are great defense against giant attack LOL

they would only go on strike if you are in the war preparation. to leave during the war prep your builders become enraged and confused on who you are loyal to, and question their own loyalty to your village. thankfully they are only good at building and will be loyal to your village again in only a short period of time.

The only thing that should be changed about the leaving during clan wars, is to increase the cooldown time (2 days to 5 days).
This is because not all people that leave clans are hoppers, so they shouldn't be punished, but this would reduce people who aren't serious about war to go to clan wars.

The problem with your suggestion is that you aere assuming that all inter clan activity is due to trolls. But unfortunately that is not true. Unfortunately there is no way to sort out those that deserve some sort of penalty from those that do not.

The best solution is for the leader or whoever manages the clan to take the extra measure to vet guys before allowing them into wars. If a new member sits even just the first war out the chances of them being a hopper are almost nil. Hopers and trolls don't have the patience for that. On the other hand the solid guys actually appreciate it because it tells them they are in a careful well organized clan where they will not have to put up with so many hoppers burning them in the wars they give to.

Still not convinced. If a member in our war clan leaves during war prep to help out our feeder or farm clan (and will return for war attacks) he or she will be penalized. Maybe this doesn't happen a lot, but it's still a consideration. I agree with the folks who suggest to just recruit more quality players. I don't think this type of penalty is the answer.

No. People have the right to leave. Just learn to manage your clan better.:)
