Selecting certain members for clan wars.

I'm in a clan of usually 15-20 and most of them are friends or have been with the clan a long time. When entering clan wars it's takes the top 15 players but I would like to have an option where I could pick the 15 members (being the leader) sometimes guys are busy or one time someone lost their phone and other times guys just stop playing for a few days or a week and I'd like to keep them in the clan but not have them participate in the war. A player option would be cool too so you could set yourself up to not want to be in wars, like if you're on a vacation. Would love to see this option happen keep up the good work thought I am addicted.

Opt In/ Opt Out or leader selected function has been discussed ad nauseam here. Supercell can't help but know that this is a feature that some would like added.

Until then many clans have figured out how to work this out in their own way. Our clan for example will soft kick those who say they can't war for personal reasons and then invite them back after search is started. We typically have less then 3 raids not used per war and those are usually our lowest players without any open targets remaining.

I am personally not a fan of leader selected option as I think the leader should have decided if they wanted a person to war with them the very second they allowed someone new to join the clan. At least that how our clan rolls.. Once your in you are a full member in good standing.

Generally speaking, Supercell works to improve the game as necessary and keep it simple and user friendly. There's incredible outcry from the community for a war opt-out feature and I find it had to believe that this won't be added to the game at some point as it will help keep things simple.

Currently, as the player above me mentioned, many clans will kick out a member or members who can't (for whatever reason) participate in the new war that the clan is starting and then once the war has started, the kicked players can just rejoin and they'll remain in the clan, however, not be on the war roster and therefore, do not need to participate in the current war. Also many clans have made a sister or feeder clan, where players who want to be a part of the clan in general can go to the feeder clan to sit out wars, maybe focus more on farming and upgrading so they get stronger to then join the main clan for wars when they are ready.

Those are the primary few ways I'm familiar with to circumvent the lack of a more convenient opt-out feature that many of us look forward to in the future... if Supercell agrees that it'd do more good than bad. This is Supercell's game and they know what they want to do with it, so if this does not get added into the game, I trust their reasoning will be good for not doing so. I just doubt that any cons relating to a war opt-out option would not outweigh the pros for such a feature, so I expect it at some point.
