New Dark Troop Idea: Warlock

Warlock or Wizard King?
750 DE
50 minutes
HS: 20
DPS: lvl 1-80, lvl 2-110, lvl 3-150, lvl 4-200
Hit Points: 750, 1000, 1250, 1500
MS: Fast
The Warlock would be a robed figure with pointy hat or hood(?), glowing blue eyes, white beard and robe (imagine evil Gandalf), carrying a long staff. When he raises his hands (with staff) a single or dual bolt of blue lightning comes down on a defensive target in proximity. The lightning would be similar to the spell on a smaller scale, but repeatedly. Warlock would have high hit points and high damage (opposite witches).

After reading through other threads and suggestions, maybe the "Warlock" could actually be a new Hero called the Wizard King (not my idea, evolved from other threads so credit to others).

You just increased the health of wizard, changed the character used and replaced his fireball projectile with a lightning spell.

LOL. Are you kidding me? Why, because of the "hood(?)" comment? There is nothing similar about them, with maybe the exception of their genitalia (debatable), and their choice of attire. If anything the warlock resembles the witch (Warlock=Male Witch and all....).
But I digress, it is true coc characters are similar in some ways so I see your point. Now that I think about it Archies are just female versions of Golems. The only differences being their gender, size, speed, hit points, weaponry, cost, and housing space. Nevermind, you got me....SMH

Maybe the Warlock could be a Hero unlocked at TH 10? Considering the BK and AQ are solely ground troops, maybe the Warlock's ability at lvl 5 could be levitation with minion summoning? He would essentially levitate over the closest wall and momentarily be invincible. Also, several minions would be conjured simultaneously.
Length of levitation and number of minnies would increase with additional ability levels. Ultimately the Warlock would be able to be user controlled during levitation for 2-4 seconds and clear a maximum of two walls during this time?
Just a thought. Opinions and thoughts welcomed provided they are the TINIEST bit creative or insightful. :-)

Maybe lightning is the wrong approach. What if he raises his arms and summons mixtapes fam? They are fya and all....

So you say that warlock is different from wizards. Let me do a comparison of both. Wizard do area of effect damage,warlock do area of effect damage. Wizard is ranged,warlock is ranged. Wizard has no special ability like witch or golem,warlock has no special ability like witch and golem. The only difference I can see except appearance(which I can't see) is that warlock has high health and takes a lot of housing space.
Agreed with you. Nothing similar in wizard and warlock. They are different. I agree. They are totally different.

Maybe summoning wizards instead of minnies isn't a half bad idea.

I think that troop sounds awesome. It would be perfect for compacted bases that have their defenses clustered. It would be like the Valkyrie but ranged in a way.
