While Checking out profiles of some top players, I noticed some of them have very high Heroic Heist like 5 million, but their Gold grab are only like 400 million.. My question is how can they farm so much DE with so little gold/elixir?? I mean a lot of top players gem but this just doesn't seem to add up.. Is there a DE farming method that gives you huge amount of DE but not gold?
yes there is, its purely looking for DE. I do the same. I think im at 1.2 or 1.3mil HH and like 250k GG lol. If a base has 20k gold 5k elixir but 3k De im hitting that base. Just takes multiple raids of this manner to eventually account for what youre seeing.Quote:

The base could be started before the statistics was recorded. So he was pretty much a well developed base already, and by that time only hunting for DE.
Or ... a gemmer to maxed base, and then mainly hunt DE.

Strange, but they get a lot of loot from collectors
When I made a masters push there was a lot more DE available as your trophies got higher.

Right most of the gold/elixir I got are from dead bases but the DE are mostly from active bases, that's exactly why I was wondering why their GG are so low as gold are much easier to grab than DE.. I know they can get 3K DE per raid, but keep in mind that it has to be done in the highest leagues, which is hard to maintain with both DE and trophies at the same time(show me a league where you can average 3K DE per raid FREQUENTLY while maintaining trophy). I mean gemmers have common senses too, why would they gem on something that's so easy to obtain? why don't they gem on DE? Isn't it more expensive to gem on gold?Quote:

No no i don't accuse the gemmers. when their profiles appears to be less than a year old and with 400m GG and all lvl 11 walls, you know they gem. personal choice, doesn't bother me one bit, I gem a bit myself.Quote:

ok now i understand your concern. sorry for misunderstand. i think we cant compare top players with Ash, coz hes farming in masters and top players are raiding another th10 constantly. up there, de storage overflows always offer 2-3k de, while from what i observe, gold mostly not much. Ash wont skip dead base with 200k-300k gold, while top players wont find those kind of bases. i think this would be a possible reason.Quote:

Thanks it's a very reasonable response.. I haven't made it to the champ league so I don't really know how it works up there.. I was purely speculating that it won't be easy to raid on average 2k+ DE while maintaining trophies, as I see a lot of high level bases they sacrifice storages so they don't lose trophies.. So you see where I'm going with this, you won't stay in champs for long if you keep raiding those intentionally exposed DE storages... Maybe someone who's been to champ can shred some light on that? Ie is your example feasible in real life? 100 attacks with 2k DE per attack while getting 50%+?Quote:

my example is not even hardcore. 100 attack per season is normal people like me averaging 7 or 8 attacks per day. while i believe champs are much more active
They dont raid for loot, they inadvertently take the de storage while going for th. Everyone is offering 3k. They dont have to go for it, they just go for stars.Quote:

Some of the top players have 600-800 Nice and Tidy with maxed bases which indicates gemming to me.
My Nice and Tidy is 684. I have been playing for 9 months or so and have kept all builders active 100% of the time. I saved all gems and bought builders when I had saved enough. I am about halfway through TH9 right now.
While it is possible for people to start this game when it was released and use collectors for the majority of their income, their Nice and Tidy would be higher if that was the case.
-Most players with maxed bases use all resources on walls, keeping their gold/elixir storages low.
-Players with maxed bases have no need for dark elixir other than troops so their dark elixir remains high.
This leads to lots of bases with high dark elixir and low gold/elixir.

To max all buildings and heroes it takes 489 days if you start with 5 builders and keep them working with 0% down time.
Considering one obstacle appears every 8 hours, 3 obstacles per day, 3*489= 1467 obstacles during that period.
If you don't gem builders right off the bat this number increases even more.
Concluding notes:
- It is possible to have a nice and tidy score of 2000+
- Minimum Nice and Tidy for a maxed base without gemming is ~1467
- Any top players with less than ~1467 gemmed their base to some extent
- High level bases use gold/elixir on walls keeping the storages low
- High level players have heroes maxed already and their dark elixir storages remain high
- Raiding at high levels gains high dark elixir and low gold/elixir because of previous 2 points
Mine is very high too if you check my profile... the reason is i target DE in farming.
From my signature I'm one of them players. I hit 1.5k+ de regardless of gold and elixir payouts and pickup collector raids when I see them. Need to update my signature, started diablo 3 so I stopped farming and became a collector baby so my levels risen alot but my HH is still extremely high for my level :cool:

There are alot of reasons for high HH but low GG :p

Cool good feedback guys.. It makes sense now.. Guess this information proves pushing/semi rushing is easier to fully max than maxing at every lower TH level with all that resource up top.. Only concern is how to maintain trophies.
