Suggestions needed for TH8 farm base

I get get raided really bad losing lots of loot. I've changed things around but still get hit hard. What should I do different or is that just part of the game?

Better move your storages to different parts and use 1 wizz tower to defend each. Keeping all storages at centre attracts people and u its easily lootable. use loot asap and max. out storages first.

I'd just redo the base entirely. The core is way too large for it to be much protection, plus all of the compartments are far too large. While kc's comment will help, if you want to reach the fullest potential, start over.

As stated above, your base should probably just be redone entirely. You want your base, in general, to be square-ish, then there's no side providing (relatively) easy access to the core. Then there's the issue of storage placement, when they're so close together an attacker would only need access to that one compartment and then you're going to lose all your loot. Instead, try to really spread them out, even if they're not all in the core, so that an attacker would have to go through much more trouble to take all your loot. You also want to try for an unlurable CC, or one that's very hard to lure, which would make it even more difficult for an attacker to break into your base with something like giants.

Thanks so much for the comments. I was considering dumping the whole base so that's what I'll do, making the compartments smaller and my storages spread out. You all are awesome....I really appreciate the help.
