I think with all these 'leaks', people are getting hyped and somewhere in their mind expecting these to be true. All these 'leaks' have at least 1 big major addition or changes which a lot of people want. If SC doesnt give a big update, which i doubt they will, a lot of people will be angry.
BTW i have been following the forums a long time but recently made an account and this is my first post.

I would assume that most people who saw the "leak" posts also saw the debunking of them that followed.
People had their expectations of what the update should entail months ago. They will be unhappy regardless.
well the only really big thing I see in the leaked notes is the waterfall other than that the other reported changes are mediocre
What about the hero changes?
still mediocre compared to the waterfall better players can just plan around hero upgrades.
Plus in our clan we have a soft kick system where anyone hero upgrading is kicked out for the war then invited back in after it starts

The fact that its taking SC so long to start sneak peeks after the so called leak makes me doubt it a lot more now. Either 1) The leak was a fake, and someone was having fun with photoshop or chrome's inspect element or 2) The experimental war changes evoked a big negative reaction even within the elite mod forums that SC were forced to re-think on it.
Either ways, would just love an update to happen soon. Been a while now.
There's always something to complain about updates...
I've only seen one leak. It was identical to the leak last update which was spot on down to the words used. The changes are not out of the ordinary, except for the war stars update which I suspect is likely to be the most controversial. I think that TH10 has got to have arrived at the point where the only place to go is th11, so that will be the massive change in the game this year. It will be a miracle if supercell pull off another game-changing update without messing the balance or the overall gameplay... I don't think that can be done again, and even if they get close the forums will be full of complaints.
Honestly- when I saw this 'leak' - it was a let down, I was hoping it was fake because it wasent that big. I thought..
"a cannon, a drag and some other stuff I don't really care about, I guess heros are cool"
but i have bigger expectations than that supposed leak - which I think is bogus anyway
