my my understanding is the war matches are based on your clans collective level of defences and to some extent your offence.
AND NOT YOUR TROPHY COUNT OR YOUR TH LEVELS.
please can you confirm and explain in laymans terms.

Offense doesnt count. Its only defense.
Read the faq in the clan war subforum. Yes you are correct, but specific weighting for anything isnt known, people speculate that walls and heroes have little weighting for defence.
Guys, thank you, i cant find further info on this toppic in the fqa's. Could you give me some xamples of what this might look like, we are a long established clan with 30 members, active, mostly th 7 -9 with the exception of 1 th 10

Ok, i get it now, several have got xbow, hero K+Q and inferno, certainly minimum lvl 5 air defences too.
Whats underlying here is that we are getting beaten a lot and we are constantly trying different strats.
