Should I Cancel My TH Upgrade?

The bad news is it doesn't afford you any advantages as a matter of fact it's less loot because TH7 is probably the best loot in the game. TH8 is still great loot and it's a little better for DE since you can takeout TH7 with TH8 troops. I maxed out TH7 and TH8 completely and finally when TH8 was near max I started defending more times than losing. But it wasn't until mid TH9 that it became nearly impossible for attackers to get my de and the reason is because I took my lumps as TH7 and TH8. Maxing out is the only way to get ahead.. You need to stay online as TH8 and cruise silver2 and silver1.. Get maxed out this time

You can rush straight to townhall 8 from a underdeveloped town hall 4 as far as I'm concerned, it won't really hurt you much. Rush any further and it will.

To the quote above: I farmed in silver 2 and found inactive players who had were inactive and had all their DE in drills and had pretty good loot in the pumps and mines.

Don't cancel. While not maxed you aren't very rushed at all. You big stickler is going to be the lab, the lab time at TH8 is already more than the build time and you are even farther in the hole. Just focus on upgrading the troops you use, not need to stress about upgrading troops you don't use, heck I went to TH9 with lvl1 hogs as I don't use them. I'll get them eventually but I focus on what I use. Once my buildings are maxed I'm not hanging around to let the lab run. The walls at TH8 aren't that hard to do so don't stress about them. Let it finish and start working on offense ASAP; research factory, spell factory and army camps.

Don't cancel but when your TH is finished, start Puting new things and begin upgarding everything to the maximum level for TH 7, after that you can progress with TH 8 upgrades. You can also begin troops upgrades.

Ok, first of all TH7 is absolutely not the best loot in the game, don't know where people get that???? You have to pick on TH6's with no DE and small storages. Loot at TH8 was WAY better for me and I did well, maxing TH7 quickly.

People are so worried about maxing. If you get 85% there, you can still upgrade whatever you didn't. Everyone seems to act like if they don't complete the upgrade at a TH, then they are screwed forever lol. You can still upgrade anything at the next level. TH8>TH7 for everything.

There's really no point at such a low th...
You'll probably actually be better off farming at th8, with the better troops, more spells, etc.
Just make sure to max out before going to th9 :)

Nah you're fine, but some things I would prioritize when being a new TH8 (in your situation):

-All new buildings to TH6/7 lvl
-Lab to 6
-Most commonly used troops to 5
-Rage to 4
-King to 5
-Hogs to 4 (For war)
-Drags to 3 (For war)
-Barracks to 10
-Drill to 3
-Minions to 4
-DE Storage to 3




Those are the first things I would prioritize if I were you. (not listed in a specific order)
