Hello i am not sure if i should upgrade from th7 or not yet. i have all my defenses maxed except my wizard towers are at level 2. i need 1 more air defense to get to level 5 from 4 and alot of my collecters at at level 10 also my walls are half upgraded i know th8 is a 8 day train and im slowly running out of researchable troops i dont want to be stuck without having some unit being researched but i dont want to upgrade to early either any ideas btw only have 3 researchable things left
Th8 is a Long journey. Defences need to be upgraded twice. If u are close to maxing out, then why don't u 100% max. If not ur th8 would take extra long time which is what happened to me. And I regretted that I didn't max my th7. So my suggestion is to wait a bit longer.
i completely maxed th 7 except for the bk he was level 1 when i upgraded and a couple barracks but im glad i did
If you ask this sort of question, you are very likely to get three types of answers from three types of respondents.
- Max everything. If you don't max out that last bomb you it will make your life more complex in the next level.
- Your so close just go.
- What?!? You are still working on TH7? You should have started upgrading the second TH6 was finished.
OK, I jest a little; however, you really need to consider your own play style. If you raid a lot (income from raiding is the overwhelming majority of your income) AND you have already maxed our army camps and troop upgrades (for the units you actually use), then you probably should already be TH8 - you've waited too long already UNLESS the majority of your income is coming from raiding TH6s. Any time you upgrade, it is wise to consider what will happen to your income. If upgrading means you need to change your "food source" then that will make it a little more challenging early on.
If you are maybe not quite that aggressive, but still getting a lot of funding from your raids, I would say you are close enough, move on. I do think you have made a mistake in terms of your defense upgrades. Wizard towers should be a higher priority than you have given them (they are the great loot defenders). Move on to TH8 and promise not to upgrade cannons and archer towers at their expense.
If you do not raid that much (a couple times a day), then I would lean a little more towards getting your defenses mostly done. Still, even then, I have a hard time saying you should hang out at TH7. If you can avoid it, you really don't want to have your lab sitting idle. Likewise, if you are a person who will be bothered that you did not finish everything before moving on, then there is simply the piece of mind factor to consider. It is only a game and it is not like there is some terrible consequence for not fully optimizing your play.
So, you need to consider how you play the game and the more active and aggressive you are, the less waiting will make sense. Think through what might happen once you get to TH8 and also try to keep your lab active. Finally, don't neglect your wizard towers in the future. Either obsess about them now or move on and tell yourself you won't repeat that in the future.
