I check top player list regularly and I found some of them do not have trophy number change for a long time. this is not right, too. the evaluation formula is wrong, too. if the ratio of such kind of so called "top" players is high, this game is hopeless.
it does change, they just get only 1 trophy per raid
I would say they are campers, like in Call of Duty XD

Being on shield is allowed by the game and utilizing them is one of the strategy to stay on the top.
All the top players on the list are very good indeed. They spent not only money, but also tons of times to gain their trophies.
They might be inactive once they got the trophies. People have vacations, lives, works and COC... you know ;)

CoC is a strategy game. The top players are top players because they spend the most time playing this game. They're not up there from defensive wins or because they have some secret strategy. They are up there because they rarely log off and spend a great deal of time and money into this game. It has nothing to do with being a coward. The game is designed so you win very little but lose a lot so in order to gain trophies you realise very early on in the game that the best way to get up in trophies is to log off as few times as possible.
They are not cowards... It's a game and they have time. They can do what they want with their lives and it's getting very annoying with everyone on the forums judging them.. so QUIT making posts like these.
